Crema's Take
“Cool Bean Gourmet Cafe is a cozy neighborhood gem where the hospitality matches the quality of every detail, from hand-pulled espresso shots to homemade syrups that elevate their signature drinks like the peppermint mocha. Their breakfast sandwiches arrive with the kind of care you rarely find—flaky croissants, perfectly crisped bacon, and thoughtfully cooked eggs—making it the kind of place that's worth a deliberate detour whether you're grabbing a cappuccino or settling in for a full meal. The crew genuinely seems to love what they do, creating a warm, welcoming space where regulars and travelers alike feel equally at home.”

A nice, cozy coffee shop in Port Deposit. We stopped here on the way back to VA and were wowed by the hospitality, food, and drinks. The croissant was flaky, bacon crispy, and egg cooked to perfection. The latte was great. I'd recommend anyone stop by if you're passing through or visiting the town.
As someone who’s constantly on the road for work and stopping at different coffee shops all over Maryland and PA between appointments, I can honestly say this was one of the best lunch experiences I’ve had in a long time. I stopped into Cool Beans for something light and ended up getting a pit turkey sandwich and their caramel latte and wow. The sandwich was incredibly delicious. The pit turkey had that perfect just-off-the-grill flavor — warm, tender, and slightly smoky. But the real standout was the caramel latte. I’ve tried caramel lattes from just about everywhere you can think of while traveling for work, and this was by far the best one I’ve ever had. Perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, smooth, and actually tasted like real espresso instead of syrupy milk. Service was fast, the atmosphere was great, and it’s clear they care about quality. This will definitely be a regular stop for me when I’m in the area. Highly recommend!
We stopped at this amazing spot on our way to Atlantic City—about 15 minutes out of the way, but absolutely worth it. I ordered a peppermint mocha and was told their syrups are homemade, which you can definitely taste. It was hands down the best coffee I’ve had in the States. The food was just as impressive—fresh, juicy, and full of flavor. I would gladly make the drive again just to come back here. Highly recommend!
This is a cool little spot with cool people and great service! These guys hands down have the best cappuccinos around! I have heard their breakfast is really good. I've only had the lunch sandwiches and they are awesome.
Cute spot, delicious sandwiches, super kind staff, and dog-friendly! Some indoor and outdoor seating. Really appreciated the service here - definitely recommend. Thanks for the pup cup!
