Crema's Take
“Haraz Coffee House brings authentic Yemeni chai and espresso-forward coffee to a cozy, study-friendly spot that feels both beautifully curated and genuinely welcoming. The staff's patience and warmth shine through in every review, and their signature drinks—like the exceptionally rich Adeni Chai and creative matcha lattes—are worth returning for again and again. Whether you're settling in with a laptop for hours or stopping by to sample their delicious pastries, this is the kind of neighborhood coffee house that makes you feel at home.”

I tried the Adeni Chai at Haraz Coffee House. It was exceptionally rich, aromatic, strong, and delicious. I also purchased the Haraz Premium Adeni Chai to bring home with me, and the quality is exceptional. The blend of ground tea with cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves creates an amazing fragrance that fills the whole home. I make mine as a "Gentle Adeni Chai"—simmering it for 15 minutes with oat milk and just a pinch of sugar. My recipe is a lighter version for daily life that still honors its Yemeni roots.
This is such a cute little coffee shop to study and grab a bite! The staff are so sweet and patient. The coffee is very delicious as well as the sweet treats. I will definitely come back to try other menu items!
Haraz is a cute place with a dozen or so tables, outlets, and free WiFi. The drinks are good and the pastries are delicious. The bathrooms are clean as well. Excellent place to study or work
Haraz is both beautiful and cozy. You can find people working, studying, or gathering around delicious milk cakes or authentic chai and coffee. They also serve innovative flavors in their lattes and always present their drinks in a pleasing way. I hope you check it out :)
Date of Visit: 11/14/2025, varies. Food: 10/10 Drinks: 10/10 Price: 7/10 Service: 10/10 Ambience/Atmosphere: 9/10 First, I have only come here to study while having a Matcha Latte; so far, I have only tried the "Matcha Coconut Latte" and "Matcha Pistachio Latte." Food/Drinks: I have not tried any of the foods, but based on the other reviews, they seem very nice. The drinks here, on the other hand, are very silky and refreshing. The two types of Matcha Lattes I have tried so far were both very smooth (not too dense, not too watery), have rich flavor, and stay true to the sub-flavors (in my case, pistachio and coconut). Price: This cafe is a bit pricey, but since I do not initially reside in Austin and given that this IS a university campus, it is understandable that the prices are a bit higher. Perhaps, I still reside in the early 2010s prices, inflation is getting to us ToT. Service: The workers here are very kind and patient. There's not much to say except that they're really lovely. :D They'll repeat what they said if you miss it. I tend to over-analyze the actions and facial expressions of others, but I've never had a bad feeling at this cafe! Ambience/Atmosphere: Now, given that this cafe is based on different cultures from mine, the music played is not to my taste. BUT, I do understand that the cafe is rooted in Yemeni culture and heritage, with the founder being a Yemeni immigrant (correct me if I'm wrong), so I can't really critique that. Besides the music, the cafe is a bit noisy, like a standard busy Starbucks (around 65 dB). Otherwise, the cafe is clean and has adequate seating!
