Antoinette’s Coffee House
834 Chartres St, New Orleans, LA
Crema's Take
“Antoinette's brings a genuinely warm, Marie Antoinette-themed charm to the French Quarter that feels both whimsical and welcoming—the kind of place where the owner's kindness can actually shift your whole day around. Beyond excellent coffee, they've mastered the art of hospitality with thoughtful touches like surprisingly beautiful bathrooms and homemade pastries and chocolates that keep visitors coming back multiple times in a single week. It's the rare cafe that balances being a laptop-friendly spot for lingering with an atmosphere so inviting that even passing tourists feel like they've found a secret local gem.”

After struggling to find a cafe that had welcoming vibes and beautiful decor (I’m a tourist) , I found my way into Antoinette’s Coffee shop. They welcome their customers in with kindness and the coffee is delicious! I had a mocha latte. YUM. I’ll be back the next time I’m in Nola. Thanks, Kay ❤️
I had a super disappointing lunch right before coming here, so my plan was to get caffeine and a pastry so I could pout about how awful my salad had been. But the owner here was so nice that my mood completely changed and I ended up just enjoying my awesome rose matcha and a danish. I would absolutely recommend hitting this coffee shop if you're in town.
A new addition to the coffee shop ecosystem in the Quarter and a lovely one. The Marie Antoinette theme is charming and very fitting for the area. (It also results in one of the best bathrooms in the neighborhood, so have a peek, if nothing else!) The drinks are great -- don't sleep on the La vie en rose matcha latte. I'd never had a matcha latte before and I prefer this to my usual coffee order, honestly. There's space to work and WiFi to do it on, which is a bonus, since workspaces are often thin on the ground here. And the chocolates and macarons make for lovely rewards once you've completed said work. The music can be loud since the stero is in the front room and the coffee bar is in the next, but the lovely staff are always willing to adjust the volume. Overall, it's a great place and I plan on haunting it regularly.
Loved the cafe. Nice coffee and do try the chocolates as well!
I stayed at the Chateau Hotel and this was the perfect coffee/sweet treat spot just a few steps away. I loved it so much that I went three times in one week. The staff were amazing and super friendly everyday I went. I would highly recommend stopping in whether you get a drink, a treat, or instagram worthy photos. Make sure to check out their restroom as well for the coolest restroom in the quarter.
