Maison @ Delamar Traverse City

615 E Front St, Traverse City, MI

Crema's Take

Maison feels like a convenient hotel cafe pit stop rather than a destination worth seeking out, offering standard coffee and pre-made breakfast sandwiches that lean more McDonald's than specialty. While it's fine if you're staying at the Delamar and need something quick, guests consistently note that prices are steep relative to quality, with nothing on the menu that justifies the premium positioning.

Brioche Bun is a hamburger bun, breakfast sandwiches are pre.made and similar to McDonald’s

Maison is fine if you are staying at Delmar and need a convenient and quick option. But the food is overpriced and nothing special. We paid $37 for a latte, breakfast sandwich, and yogurt parfait. It’s all ordered at the counter, then you grab your food and a table. Overpriced for what it is.

This hotel wants to charge an arm and a leg for crappy sticky floored, wall stained rooms, and then serve up some trash coffee that’s way overpriced. Horrible coffee.

You would think that a nice hotel like the Delamar would have a real restaurant option for breakfast. Not so. Instead, they opted for the stripped down Starbucks style "cafe". Limited menu options. You order at the counter and pick up your food and drink when your name gets yelled out through the cafe. Expect the barista to roll her eyes at any additional requests you may have. Just get your food and get out ... or maybe go somewhere else entirely for breakfast.

This was my second time here. Hotel is getting less taken care of.. the bistro had breakfast buffet. Food was cold. Lacked flavor.. also had Friday fish fry. All you can eat. Not great. Fish was overdone first plate and underdone the second plate. Fries was cold and the coleslaw had a very bad taste. Not recommending with so many other places to eat near here.
