Crema's Take
“Tucked away behind an unmarked storefront, Liberty is a hidden craft cocktail bar where skilled bartenders treat drink-making like an art form, happily crafting custom creations based on whatever flavor profile you describe to them. The moody, intimate space pairs expertly mixed cocktails and thoughtful mocktails with surprisingly excellent sushi rolls, making it the kind of small, chill spot that somehow exceeds expectations on every level.”

This is my favorite craft bar. You can tell the bartender anything you want to drink and they’ll concoct something to your liking. I normally come here for drinks, I must say the sushi wasn’t bad at all! The happy hour pricing was nice. I was surprised how good it was.
I love Liberty! It is a great cocktail bar with exceptionally good sushi. Their cocktails are creative and delicious as are the N/A mocktails. It is a pretty small place so you may enounter some wait time during peak hours, but it is worth the wait.
Very chill. Mood lighting. From the street you can't tell it's open. No light over sign outside. Small, but huge amount and variety of liquor. Both the waitress and bar tender are well versed on suggestions for their specialty sushi rolls. Suberb Manhattan's. Available with Rye or Bourbon. Hard to find parking!
Liberty is one of those places who’s concept sounds far fetched and can’t possibly be “that” good yet they exceed on every level. Who knew a bar could not only have an incredible and unique cocktail program but also have some of the best sushi in the city. Highly recommend getting the Joes Hanoo roll and pairing it with any of their amazing staff created cocktails. I don’t think there’s a bad one on the menu. Lastly, liberty has limited seating alot of their space is taken up by these big comfy couches (but I’m not complaining) on busy nights it might be hard to get a seat but it’s well worth the wait and this is definitely a spot you’ll wanna chill at for a bit.
We ordered 3 sushi rolls and they were all great. Interesting and yummy ingredient combinations. The only improvement I could see is with rice quality… it’s not as gourmet or soft as your typical fancy sushi and omakase places but still the sushi is amazing. We ordered a spin on the California roll expecting it to have imitation crab (since I am allergic) and my partner was pleasantly surprised it was all snow crab! What a treat for him. My mistake for not asking but just speaks to the quality of ingredients! The drinks were also great… wide range of cocktails! I love that in the description they tell you what type of cocktail it is (if it comes tall, over a large ice cube, straight up etc). Staff was amazing too, very friendly and attentive.
