Fresh Flours
6015 Phinney Ave N, Seattle, WA
Crema's Take
“Fresh Flours is a sun-soaked Phinney Ridge gem where the matcha takes center stage—reviewers rave about its rich, well-balanced flavor and fair pricing—while seasonal decor and ample indoor-outdoor seating make it feel like a neighborhood living room. Beyond the excellent matcha lattes and London Fogs, their pastries and breakfast offerings shine, though the kitchen's limitations keep the food focused and honest rather than ambitious.”

Matcha latte was one of the best I’ve tried very rich in flavor and well priced. However the matcha muffin was slightly dry but very filling. The cookies were great and the London fog was delicious! Atmosphere was calm and plenty of seating, cozy atmosphere.
Fresh Flours is a great spot for breakfast, coffee, and casual meals. The space is large decked up with seasonal decorations ample seating inside and outside, making it easy to find a table whether you’re stopping in briefly or staying awhile. It can get noisy during peak hours, but that could be due to how popular and busy the place is. The menu goes beyond breakfast, offering salads and premade sandwiches in addition to their excellent croissants and pastries, which are always flaky and delicious. Everything feels well-made and fresh. Service is fast and efficient, even when the shop is crowded, which keeps things moving smoothly.
My Seattle neighborhood exploration took me to Phinney Ridge, a relatively small area but with great history. For an afternoon pick-me-me, I stopped into Fresh Flours (ahhh flours not flowers haha) for a double espresso and sparkling water. The caffè was great with good crema on the body. I am really starting to enjoy and appreciate good espresso. The service was fantastic!
Pastries were really good but that’s best thing I have to say about this place. Also got a taco (pictured) that was $7.50. Think that’s soooo overpriced for a single tiny bacon taco that had one very small piece of bacon in it. The service left a lot to be desired as well. The barista at the front was very chilly and barely spoke at all. They didn’t say a single thing when our drinks were put out, nor when our food was ready and we kept having to walk from our table to the counter to check. The atmosphere was odd as it looked cozy from the outside, but the inside is very sparse with absolutely nothing on the walls. It was also a chilly day outside and the door was open the whole time which kept it chilly. Overall pretty disappointed with our visit as we’d been wanting to go for awhile.
Very cute bakery with tasty matcha and a decent breakfast taco (good corn tortilla) given that they have no real kitchen. I loved sitting outside in the sun and relaxing today. I would definitely stop by again if I were in the area. There were a lot of pastries I'd like to try and didn't have the chance.
