Crema's Take
“Nestled in Werner's Diner, Saturday Morning Cafe is a chef-driven breakfast destination where Chef Will and his team pour care into every plate, from perfectly executed eggs Benedict with crabmeat to fresh-made pastries that pair beautifully with their traditional coffee offerings. The vibe here is genuinely welcoming and unhurried—ideal for lingering over a leisurely breakfast with family or friends, with staff that moves with real attentiveness rather than just efficiency. While experiences vary, at its best this spot delivers the kind of flavorful, thoughtfully-prepared food that keeps locals coming back for special occasions and lazy weekend mornings.”

The food is/was AMAZING! Chef Will and his staff are wonderful. I highly recommend Saturday Morning Cafe at Werner's Diner if you enjoy flavorful food. Street parking was pretty easy.
My first time there for my daughter birthday breakfast. It's was very clean the waitress and the staff were friendly pleasant and very quick with getting your food out The food was amazing well cooked and seasoned! This is definitely a great secret breakfast/ brunch place. It's tucked right in the middle of the street and if you blink you hv missed it. Definitely worth the find! Tht the chicken honey biscuit! It's was so good I didnt get the picture of the other 2 😂. Absolutely going back! Don't tell too many ppl tho..😂😂 Cause there's no wait time right now
We had a party of 13 and everyone was pleased with their meals. I didn't read much into the menu. However, it seem that every meal was prepared fresh. I had an eggs Benedict with crabmeat meal and my man had like a honey chicken biscuit meal. It's location is right on the harbor in witch I loved because it was right across the street from the hotel that I was staying in. The staff are welcoming and treated us like family. I wish I could eat there everyday!
Unfortunately one of the worst experiences I've had in a long time. The host greeted us kindly and we were seated within 15 minutes. However, it went downhill from there. From the dirty floors to hair in our drinks and food. It was a disaster. The items we ordered never came out. We ordered the fish and grits. The fish was salty and the grits were bland. Absolutely no flavor. We also got the skillet with eggs over potatoes but subbed the steak for salmon. The salmon was an extremely small piece and almost as thin as paper. It was flavored fairly. The hot honey biscuits lacked the spice; the biscuits were undercooked too. Everything else came out on plastic plates. From the baby shrimp, (literally the size of a nickel) to the plastic cups. It was a terrible look. We asked for cheese & butter to help flavor the grits which took 20 minutes & 3 different employees to finally reach the table. Everything went back except one order that we attempted to take home and "fix up". Well, they ran out of to-go containers and attempted to package it in two plastic plates and a rubber band. Wow. Then to have countless employees coming over to place blame on the next person was kindergarten activities. There's so much more but I'd rather stop now. There was a couple behind us having a rough time as well who walked out in disappointment. I usually give a place a second chance but I don't know this time. Hopefully, they improve. Nice location and a good-looking menu. (Photos attached minus negative ones.)
My experience at Saturday Morning Cafe was unfortunately disappointing. While the atmosphere seemed pleasant enough, the food left much to be desired. Following a recommendation, I ordered the chicken and biscuits, and both components were exceedingly dry, making for a rather unpleasant texture. The grits, a Southern breakfast staple, were bland and completely unseasoned – not even a hint of salt could be detected. It felt like a missed opportunity to add even a basic level of flavor. In hindsight, a simple basic breakfast might have been a safer bet. Alternatively, the Starbucks across the street is a convenient option for a quick bite. For anyone seeking a truly enjoyable breakfast or lunch experience in Baltimore, I would strongly suggest venturing over to Miss Shirley's Cafe, which consistently delivers on quality and flavor. Saturday Morning Cafe, sadly, did not meet my expectations.
