Crema's Take
“Las Chicas Bakery & Cafe is a vibrant Union City gem where exceptional Latin-inspired pastries and fresh-baked goods steal the spotlight alongside genuinely excellent coffee, from smooth café con leche to creative specialty drinks. The warmth of the staff and that authentic hospitality create an atmosphere that keeps regulars coming back for weekend brunches and special occasions, making it feel less like a coffee shop and more like a welcoming gathering place where every detail—from the empanadas to the handmade birthday cakes—is made with real care.”

“The croissants, sweet pastries, and sandwiches were truly amazing! Their coffee was also delicious. We were welcomed with that warm Latin hospitality — the staff’s friendliness and the cozy atmosphere made the whole experience even better. ¡Definitivamente volveré!”
This bakery in Union City is excellent! They have amazing products. For the past two years, they’ve been making my son’s birthday cake, and the ladies are always super friendly and helpful.
Coffee was really good and the pastries were fresh, delicious, and well priced. The bakery itself was clean and inviting, but the tables and floors could have used a quick wipe down. Overall, a nice spot worth visiting.
We found this café while visiting New York and stopped by twice during our trip. The food is truly delicious. I had empanadas de carne with café con leche, and my son ordered a Cuban panini that quickly became his favorite. Everything was fresh and well prepared. The vibe of the place is cozy and relaxed. That said, the service on our second visit wasn’t as warm. The staff member who helped us had a noticeably cold demeanor, not rude, but definitely not inviting. It shifted the energy a bit. Based on her service, I’d give that part three stars. We won’t be back, as we’re just visiting, but the food is definitely worth trying if you’re in the area.
Great place. I went to try it with my friend for the first time and we had to go back the following weekend. It has become our brunch favorite spot. 💁🏽♀️ It’s a chic, modern and comfortable place to just sit, relax and unwind. It’s a bit small and seems very popular so it could be crowded and your food might take a bit long but it’s totally worth it. Super affordable and a great time. Would definitely visit again soon.
