Crema's Take
“Coffee Republic in Matthews hits that sweet spot where serious espresso craft meets genuinely welcoming vibes—regulars rave about baristas Matt and Josh creating both stellar pour overs and a tranquil space that somehow feels both cozy for lingering and efficient for quick grabs. The rotating sandwich options and thoughtful milk alternatives (including almond and non-dairy choices) pair perfectly with their fresh pastries, making it equally great whether you're settling in for a meeting or just stopping by for your morning ritual.”

A cozy and inviting café with great coffee and fresh pastries. I loved the variety, especially the sandwich options and non-dairy milk choices. The staff was welcoming and attentive. My coffee and cinnamon twist were delicious, and my daughter’s iced salty dog latte with a French toast muffin was just as good. We’ll definitely be coming back.
I love this place so much. It’s surprisingly very difficult to find a coffee shop that has a welcoming, tranquil vibe that also makes great coffee , but this place nails it. It’s a great place for a meet up, a study session, or place to sit and read. The food is also delicious and they honestly have THEE BEST mochas. I also can’t say enough about the staff. They are always so kind, accommodating, and friendly. They offer suggestions and always make sure to deliver something exactly as you order it. I have also accidentally left a charger there before, they located it, and notified me very soon after I reached out to let me know they’d keep it safe/stored for me. Simply put; I can’t recommend this place enough!
Both baristas Matt and Josh were extremely helpful and nice during our encounter. The place is very clean and has plenty space to come with a big party. They were very fast with our order as well! :) 10/10 recommend
I recently visited Coffee Republic and ordered a matcha latte with almond milk, vanilla, and lavender. Unfortunately, the drink was very bitter, even with the added flavors of vanilla and lavender. I asked the barista to add some sweetener, and she kindly did—after that, the taste improved slightly. I also noticed that the drink had a lot of matcha in it, to the point where there were visible matcha lumps floating in the latte. While I appreciate a strong matcha flavor, the texture and bitterness were overwhelming. On a positive note, the service was good and the staff were friendly. However, given the overall experience and the high price ($10 for a single drink), I don’t plan on returning.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Infinity stars if I could!) My experience at Coffee Republic was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the manager went above and beyond to help me choose what to drink and eat. They were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, which made the whole experience even better. Honestly, there are no wrong choices here—everything looked delicious and tasted even better! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great coffee, great food, and even better service. I’ll definitely be back! ☕✨
