Crema's Take
“Nestled in Tahoe City, this cafe is a love letter to slow mornings, where Chef Stan's passion shines through in every smoked meat breakfast burrito and perfectly plated waffle—dishes that taste genuinely handmade in ways that matter. The tree-house atmosphere and genuinely welcoming staff create the kind of space where you'll want to linger with friends over creative specialty drinks, making it less of a coffee stop and more of a destination for those seeking soul-satisfying food and real human connection.”

Top tier. The food was amazing and the customer service was welcoming. The Chef Stan is Kind and you can taste the love he puts in cooking every meal. Tree House Cafe is in my Top 3 places to enjoy coffee, food, and good conversation.
Amazing food amazing vibes. Very kind cashiers and food tastes fresh made and really really good. I got the tri tip breakfeast burrito and it did not disappoint. All my friends got different things and no one had anything bad to say!
Friendly staff, fresh smoked meats, unique drinks. I got the smoked meat (pork) breakfast burrito and it was insane!! They packed so much meat and eggs into the burrito. Extremely filling. I also got the white mocha latte which was perfect during a sunny winter morning. The chilli was delicious. Loved the vibe of the place.
The food was above good. We had the scrambled eggs with sourdough and tater tots and the waffles with blueberries. Atmosphere was good as well. As for the service, it was ok.... The cashier was awesome but the servers... They called our order and just dropped our food on the counter. So yeah, not that great.
We were looking for a dinner hold over and a place with a good vibe and this was it. I didn't think the pictures on the other reviews I saw did the decor justice to I took some of my own to add here. We had the bbq in a cup with the pulled pork bbq and the Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was slightly bland but my son liked it. I'll add that their high chairs were clean which is a nice rarity for parents. Service was very friendly. Food prices are "high" but what can you expect around the lake. The coffee prices were pretty standard in my mind. I wa grateful they only charged $0.7 extra for oatmilk unlike some places that charge $1. My husband said his Americano was very good and while we were there another customer was raving on the drip coffee.
