Crema's Take
“Kiss of Matcha is a beloved Chinatown gem that's earned its reputation as the perfect escape after a long day, with regulars raving about the vibe and the expertly crafted matcha drinks that go beyond the basics. Their signature matcha cream lattes stand out for their luxuriously fluffy texture, and adventurous orderers swear by combinations like the double matcha with matcha foam for a boldly concentrated flavor. Paired with excellent pastries and a welcoming space designed for lingering with friends, it's the kind of specialty spot that converts even matcha skeptics into devoted fans.”

This place is SUCH a vibe ✨ My sisters and I are basically regulars at this point, it’s our go-to spot after surviving a long day of work or school. The drinks? Elite. The snacks? Chef’s kiss. 👌 If you need a caffeine boost but coffee isn’t your thing, this is your sign to pull up. Trust me, one sip and you’ll be refreshed, revived, and ready to take on the world. 💁♀️💛
I don’t know much about Matcha, I’m more of a heytea kind of guy. But my friend who is an expert said it’s pretty good. So there it is.
My friend & I loved the Match Cream Strawberry Latte. 100% recommend the matcha cream instead of regular matcha if you want a creamier/fluffier texture. The texture is so amazing. Pro tip - order online for pick up because this place almost always has a line.
i got the double matcha (matcha latte w matcha foam) and i really liked it. i’m not that big of a matcha fan but i dabble, so im very satisfied in my matcha here. strong matcha flavor and a little gritty but that’s how i like it. the rest of my party got a hot marshmallow matcha latte and an ube matcha latte. they liked theirs too. the interior was aesthetic but the service was a little slow because they hand whisk each matcha to order. there was only a short line when we got there but it took a while to get our drinks.
Hidden Matcha Gem in Chinatown 🍵 This amazing little matcha dessert spot is tucked away in San Francisco’s Chinatown — right on the northwest corner of Broadway and Grant, near the intersection of Broadway and Columbus. It’s a cozy and minimalist shop with just a few tables inside — perfect for enjoying your matcha treats without the hustle and bustle. The interior isn’t fancy or modern - kind of old style with tight space. that might be the whole a tiny negative about this spot. Be prepared for a line though! Most people queue up by the self-serve kiosk near the entrance, but here’s a secret tip — if you walk to the back near the restroom, there’s a counter where a staff member can take your order directly. Total time-saver! Their matcha ice cream and matcha drinks are super popular, but what really stole the show for me was their warabimochi. It’s not even listed on the menu, but you can still order it! Each box comes with 12 soft, chewy pieces, and you can choose from matcha, kinako, or half-and-half flavors — all incredibly delicious and fresh. The staff here are so friendly and helpful, making the entire experience even better. Waited less than 5 minutes for our 2 drinks and 2 orders of Warabimochi! Definitely a must-visit for any matcha lover in SF! 🍃✨
