Crema's Take

Tucked just off Bishop Avenue, this indie gem brilliantly blends a working bookstore, specialty coffee bar, and vinyl shop into one irresistibly cool space with a cozy cabin vibe. Whether you're settling in with a honey latte, craft cocktail, or exploring their thoughtfully curated book selection, you'll find yourself coming back night after night—especially during their Mon-Fri book happy hour when you score a free drink with any purchase. It's the rare spot where serious coffee meets serious books meets serious hospitality, all wrapped up in genuine indie charm.

I came here one night while staying in the area and came back 2 more nights after! Everything about this place is cool. They do cafe and bar drinks... And good ones! There is a small bookstore inside too. Not to extensive but keeps it a good vibe and atmosphere, makes it non-divey... It's a relaxed and casual bar and cafe. The staff all 3 nights were friendly and efficient.

Bookworms, meet your new favorite hangout! 📚☕️ Right off Bishop, this indie spot is a bookstore, bar, and vinyl shop all rolled into one. Seriously cool vibes, great drinks, and a beautifully diverse selection of books (plus a cute kids' section!). Keep an eye out for their live music schedule—it sounds like a blast. Come for the books, stay for the whole scene.

This is the coolest spot!! A cozy cabin vibe with cocktails and coffee and books?! What more could you ask for! I went for coffee and got a honey latte which was SO good!! Only warning is that they don’t sell decaf coffee here - so be prepared for full caf. I would love to go back and try some of their cocktails, because they looked delicious also! It is a rather small establishment on the inside, but there is a shocking amount of seating. Just know that it will likely be rather noisy because of this, and the music plays loudly. If you’re looking for a quiet place to journal, this is probably not it - but if you’re looking for a fun, vibey place to chat with friends, this is it! Edit: visited again when they opened at 10am on a Saturday, and it was very quiet and cozy vibes! The service is great, they got my drink out right away and the girl that made it was so nice!

Just off of Bishop, this indie shop is more than books. Huge bar and lots of casual seating to hang out. Vinyl records. Diverse selection of books. Nice mix of paperbacks and hardbacks. Noticed the live music schedule which sounded super fun. Cute little selection of kids' books. Fun stop!

Absolutely love this combination bookstore/coffee shop/bar and wish I’d found it sooner! Best time to come is during book happy hour (Mon-Fri 3-6) where you buy a book and get a free drink. Daytime has a cafe feel and there’s WiFi for working. WiFi turns off at 7 and then it’s great for reading or socializing. Good variety of seating including outdoor seating, also frequent live music and other events. I’ve had both coffee and cocktails here and both were delicious!
