Crema's Take

This Brooklyn gem pairs thoughtfully crafted coffee with an impressive array of pastries and creative breakfast fare, from traditional croissants to standout vegan fried chicken that keeps regulars coming back. The intimate, beautifully decorated space has earned its reputation as a warm gathering spot perfect for lingering over a quality latte and a warm cinnamon roll, with the bonus of actually having a bathroom—a genuine luxury in the city. You'll find the owners clearly put care into every detail, creating the kind of neighborhood cafe that feels like a discovery worth sharing.

Great food and great vibes! Lovely little vegan cafe. We ordered coffee, a cinnamon roll (warmed up) with a cookie. And they have a bathroom which in this city is a big plus.

I did not eat at the restaurant but took the food to go. I had the chocolate croissant which was pretty good! Also, had the banana cake with coconut cream. The cream part had a little oily taste that I didnt enjoy but was still good. The charcuterie board was just ok. I mainly got it to discover other vegan cheese options. I am not vegan but lactose intolerant and finding a food cheese is always a mission of mine. The tomato formage was the best. The cheddar was good, the taste was there but wasnt sure about the texture. The brie was not the one I was disappointed in. Had a slight chemical taste. I also did not recieve the fruit that was suppose to come with it (this does not reflect on garden carver as they do not produce the cheese). Just so anyone looking for vegan cheese is aware. I am glad I got to try the cheeses before purchasing a whole wedge.

Stopped in to warm up and get a latte and a pastry. I wish I had found this spot earlier in my trip! The latte was great and the chocolate chip croissant was delicious. Will def be back the next time I’m in New York to get a full meal. Thank you!

First time stopping at Garden Carver after hearing about it online! From the outside, you are greeted with a beautiful decorated & adorable tiny cafe! You can tell from entering they put a lot of thought into the vibe. It is cozy, welcoming & just beautiful. Their display of stunning vegan pastries catch your eye. A large display case of vegan meats & cheeses & quick grab items - all looked amazing. But what I really came for was their breakfast croissant sandwich. It was SO good! It was made fresh & you can tell it’s quality ingredients. The croissant was so crispy & flakey. The egg, sauce, buttery onions, cheese & bacon just completed it. I’ve tried a lot of vegan breakfast sandwiches & this is top tier! This place is worth the hype. Really amazing vegan - everything here! Don’t skip on the breakfast croissant- it’s THAT good!
