Green Sage Cafe - Merrimon

Both times I've gone, the smoothies have been comfortably quick and delicious. You're definitely paying for quality when you go. The Cobb salad looked amazing and had the taste to back it up.

Atmosphere was chill and earthy, only thing that wasnt great was that I was not a fan of the seating layout- my party was seated at a floating table between a booth and a wall table and I constantly felt like I was in the way. Service was friendly and helpful. Turkey club wrap with side of black beans and rice was fresh and tasted good- veggies were crisp and flavorful. Beans and rice were under seasoned/bland, but not bad. Food was prepared quickly and correctly to order. Good menu selection and custom drink options- very strong Asheville vibes (its a good thing!). A little on the expensive side for a wrap and dish of rice and beans, but since everything tasted fresh and of good quality, I think it was worthwhile!

Super solid neighborhood spot. Clean, spacious, ample parking. Lots of vegan, veg and heart healthy options. I’ve found it easy to work from here for a few hours, and also have met a larger to group for a planning meeting. If you are in a hurry their online ordering website makes it easy to order ahead.

Food was super tastey! Had good variety of options for both me who needed vegan and my partner who didn’t! Their vegan frier is separate from their non vegan! The vegan milk shake was amazing!

I’ve been here several times, and often the service is a bit lukewarm, veering into downright grumpy, and there is a long wait for food when there’s not that many patrons. This restaurant has other locations, and those don’t seem to suffer from the same problem. But this one is closest to my house. Each time somebody suggests that we meet here, and I do, with renewed hope that things will be a bit better (and the food will come quicker, and the staff will be more welcoming) I’m disappointed. It is underwhelming every time I go. The big bonus is that there is parking!
