Ascension Coffee - Design District

Ascension Coffee in the Design District is easily one of the best coffee spots in Dallas! Though, I'm not a coffee person, but their Jasmine tea is rich and perfectly smooth! You can truly taste the difference in their herbs and attention to detail. The atmosphere is modern, stylish, and perfect for everything from casual meetups to getting work done. The natural lighting and open layout make it feel both energizing and comfortable. Their food menu is just as impressive (highly recommend the steak hash), with fresh, flavorful options that pair perfectly with their drinks. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always welcoming (especially Davis), which makes the experience even better. Whether you’re a serious coffee lover, tea lover, or just looking for a great brunch spot, Ascension Coffee - Design District is a must-visit!

First time here, and it definitely won’t be my last. The atmosphere is super cozy—soft warm lighting instead of harsh white lights, high ceilings, and beautiful floor-to-ceiling glass walls. The menu is very satisfying. It’s a great spot whether you’re coming for lunch or just coffee. They offer free valet parking, but it’s a good idea to bring a little cash to tip the valet.

Coffee is great, the atmosphere is solid if you want to work quietly or come here for meetings. Healthy options for food that is delicious. Very friendly staff. Conveniently located in Design District.

The ambiance was amazing! I love the whole vibe and the decor. I’m a coffee snob and have to say that I had the best cold brew here. It’s strong, delicious, and definitely doesn’t have that bitter taste! The food was so delicious! I’ll definitely come back when I’m in the Dallas area again!

The coffee at Ascension is 5⭐️ but the food is generally 3⭐️. The service averages out to be good because some of the staff are exceptional (Michael) and others allow their personal life struggles to bleed into their work demeanor. The atmosphere teeters between being really good and ok depending on how well the air conditioning is cooling and dehumidifying the place and how clean the staff cleans up the dining room. Overall, the probability is that you’ll have a good experience at this location.
