Crema's Take

Rosalind's olive bread is a revelation—massive, crusty, and genuinely worth buying a loaf to take home and toast—but the real draw is the unforced charm of this tiny bakery with its eclectic art and genuinely friendly staff who treat regulars like friends. The pastries and sandwiches (especially the ham and cheese croissant with its sneaky mustard kick) are consistently excellent, though heads up that they close early on certain days. It's perfect for a leisurely sit on the outdoor patio if you're exploring the Embarcadero, but this is more about the baked goods and vibe than specialty coffee.

What to expect

Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit, outdoor seating spot, good for meetings. Full breakfast, pastries, and light food on the menu.

The pastries were good. Somewhat of a weird vibe - cute bakery with paintings and stuff that were sort of counterculture. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind that sort of thing but it didn’t match the cuteness of the bakery otherwise.

Super friendly staff. I got the olive bread — it’s huge and absolutely delicious. The bakery itself is small and adorable. Just a heads-up: they do close early on certain days. Pastries/coffees/tea available as well.

Lovely bakery and staff are always kind. If you can get a sandwich, they are amazing. The loaves are delicious, and I always slice then freeze them. Slices toast up beautifully or are nice in a grilled cheese! The prices are normal for the city, and they have local art to view!…

A nice stop if you’re walking around Embarcadero center or toward the Ferry Building. The ham and cheese croissant was delicious. The little bit of mustard inside was a really nice surprise that added extra flavor.
