Anchorhead Coffee - Capitol Hill
1115 12th Ave, Seattle, WA
Crema's Take
“Anchorhead Coffee's Capitol Hill location captures that perfect blend of serious espresso craftsmanship and welcoming social space, with baristas who genuinely care about getting your drink right (they'll happily remake it) and even offer latte art training for those wanting to deepen their coffee knowledge. The split-level setup gives you flexibility whether you're settling in for focused work, meeting friends, or joining the steady stream of Seattle University students who've made it their regular spot. Their pastry selection and reliable pour overs round out an experience that feels both elevated and genuinely relaxed.”

Hello, I was here on Feb 4 around 9:30-10am. Just wanted to say that the service was really nice. They were willing to remake my drinks when I forgot to say I wanted them iced and I also spilled one of my drinks and they were quick to help me. Safe to say, I was having a pretty bad morning but the two people working the bar were so helpful. My social anxiety was through the roof but they remained really kind the entire time which made me feel a lot better about my mess ups. Thank you guys! Will continue to be a regular costumer.
I always loved Anchorhead coffee but since I moved out of downtown it's been forever since I've been. This was also a new location for me. I love that it still has that great atmosphere as the one on 7th and the coffee is still really really amazing. The girl who helped me today was also very nice.
Coffee shop right by Seattle university to sit and work on an article, hang out with friends or have a meeting. Small seating upstairs and more seating available downstairs. Many choices of pastries and that was the main reason for me to stop by. Amazing croissants with unique flavored fillings. Good coffee and service was quick. They also have some retail products and also sell their beans.
Brandie was an incredible trainer for the latte art class I attended. She was so kind, knowledgeable, and provided clear and helpful feedback. I hope to come back for a level 2 class! I also had the chance grab a pound of coffee, a breakfast sandwich, and a coffee (all delicious!). It’s clear that coffee craftsmanship is a core value here. I recommend this shop for anyone looking for a tasty cup of coffee, relaxed ambiance, or anyone interested in learning latte art.
I have been a regular at Anchorhead for two years now. It’s my go-to coffee place in Capitol Hill, especially since it’s so convenient for me as a seattle u student. Their coffee is always wonderful and their seasonal flavors are always amazing. My favorites are their caramel-fruit blends. They also have great seasonal pastries, with my favorite being their orange cranberry scone. Great place, highly recommend.
