Pistachio Cafe 2

Crema's Take
“Pistachio Cafe 2 is a stunningly designed New Haven gem that somehow manages to feel like a buzzing social hub without ever getting loud—think club energy wrapped in cozy sophistication. Their specialty drinks, like the rose latte made with real aromatic rose and bold espresso, pair perfectly with creative pastries and waffles, though be prepared that the experience comes at a premium price. Come after the rush to snag one of their gorgeous upholstered booths and settle in for the kind of place that keeps people coming back for both the carefully crafted coffee and the unmistakably warm hospitality.”

Visited 2/8/26 10am The food was very good, but a little overpriced for what you get. I ordered a fruit waffle and iced mocha and paid $28 after tip- that's a little egregious if you ask me. I interacted with three employees when I was there and none of them were friendly. Every please and thank you was just met with a blank face. I am interested in trying some of the other menu items, but I'm not sure if I would return due to prices and service.
This is very likely the most beautiful coffee shop that I have visited in the US. I cannot think of another coffee shop that compares with this. The interiors are gorgeous. The furnishings, the tapestry, the decorative ceiling, objects dart, everything is a treat for the eyes. They offer an eye-catching selection of pastries and assorted confectioners and the coffee is just perfect. There are plenty of other exotic sounding beverages on the menu, which we will be sure to sample the next time we visit. And the staff were very courteous and friendly. All in all, two thumbs up wayyy up
A lesbian made my rose latte so you know it was BUS. The rose was aromatic and the coffee was strong. Amazing ambiance, somehow always busy but never loud? It’s like if a club was cozy. How they made their sofas so comforting is beyond me. Great place to spend hours with a book or a lover or both. 10/10. AMAZING carrot cake, hate that it’s rotational on the menu because it really is that good. If it’s there just try it. If not, try their coffee cake. Your welcome.
We have been here several times and prefer to go after the rush so we can sit at one of the upholstery booths and relax. Otherwise booths are reserved for larger groups when busy. This place is bougie in a good way. Food is always consistent, and the staff have the best customer service. Recently their menu has been updated. I hope they bring back the panini sandwich’s and the adult size grilled cheese that has there different types of cheeses. I will still come back for the great food, mocktails, and time to spend with my friends and family.
This place is absolutely phenomenal! I’ve been here multiple times with family and friends, and every visit somehow exceeds my expectations. The food and hospitality are consistently top-tier. Everything is made fresh, with generous portions and incredible flavor. I’ve tried several items from the menu — the turkey pesto sandwich is a standout, and the double chocolate waffles are chef’s kiss. Each dish bursts with flavor and quality you can taste. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is unmatched; rich in culture, beautifully designed, and full of good energy. It’s the kind of place that feels both warm and aesthetic, perfect for brunch dates or casual hangouts. The staff are genuinely kind and attentive. Mark, the manager, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and he makes one of the best matchas I’ve ever had! If you’re looking for great food, amazing vibes, and a welcoming experience, this is the spot. Highly recommend!
