Crema's Take

Under new ownership, Saquella has reclaimed its reputation as a beloved neighborhood gathering spot where Italian-inflected pastries and housemade cookies are as much a draw as their carefully crafted traditional espresso drinks. This is the kind of place where regulars come for leisurely breakfast conversations and where attentive service (when you get the right staff) makes you feel genuinely welcomed, though consistency remains a work in progress as they settle into their fresh chapter. The warm, family-friendly vibe and honest food make it worth a return visit if your first experience didn't quite land.

I haven't been to saquella in so long after a few manager shifts that changed the quality of the service and food, however I came today and everything was amazing. The service from Leo was great, he's very sweet and helpful. I got the "make your own breakfast" option with the three eggs, subbed my toast for extra salad, and got turkey sausage instead of bacon. Latte was also delicious. A++

We had a fantastic breakfast at Saquella Italian Restaurant under the new ownership! I brought my wife, and we both loved every moment. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh ingredients and beautifully presented dishes. The dessert was a delightful treat and made our meal even more memorable. The new owner is doing a great job keeping the quality high. We highly recommend Saquella to anyone looking for an amazing Italian breakfast experience. Can’t wait to return!

Oh, how I’ve missed my Saquella cookies. But guess what? They’re back! And as delicious as ever. Same with my husband’s apple pie-maybe even better. The service was fast and attentive and the owners came over a couple of times to be sure everything was good. If you’re looking at Google reviews look at the latest reviews because this restaurant has only been open since October 28, 2024 under new management. The old reviews are not relevant anymore. We highly recommend and will be back.

Thought i would give the place a try even though they had questionable reviews . Bad choice. Service was slow for us... not so much for other patrons. Food was OK. My husband didn't finish his Waldorf chicken sandwich because let's be honest it was visually very unappealing. The mimosas were good in the beginning but way too much OJ after the 2nd one and it took about 30 min to get two. $6 for tea that comes in a plastic bottle and a bit pricey. The last part and most noticeable was the owner walking around and greeting certain guests but not us.... guess we didn't "fit" the part.... won't come back for the $130 we spent for 3 ppl and 2 with only tea as the drinks.... disappointed for the area and the hype.

Overall, I wouldn’t rush back here. The service was very slow, brought a sandwich with potatoes when we asked for salad which we had to send back, were out of their Thai peanut dressing and the cronut on their breakfast menu (we got a cinnamon roll instead that was super dry and were told they had no glaze, the most important part of a cinnamon roll…), and finally they forgot a side of sweet potatoes altogether. As for the quality of food, the home fries and the waffle were notably good. The chicken on the sandwich was dry, and the avocado tasted and looked store bought/not fresh or flavorful. It’s a nice spot to sit outside and the staff were nice, but I wouldn’t really be excited to eat there again any time soon
