Crema's Take
“Portrait Coffee pulls shots with real care and intention, creating espresso drinks that clearly matter to the team behind the bar. The welcoming, conversational atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between cozy and lively, making it equally good for a solo pour-over moment or catching up with a friend over a cinnamon roll that's worth the visit on its own. This Black-owned Atlanta gem has earned serious recognition for quality that extends beyond the cup—their retail beans are worth taking home too.”

Nice espresso place. Great vibe. I like the espresso flavor. The pulls are a touch too hot and our macchiato had too much milk but overall a solid option for ATL. Cinnamon roll was fantastic
We stopped here on our way through Atlanta. The coffee is so good. The atmosphere is chill and yet lively with conversation. We purchased a pound of beans and look forward to brewing them at home. We were hungry so decided to get a couple pastries and let me tell you … they were incredible!! We ordered the cinnamon roll and the cardamom roll. They were buttery and flavorful and the icing on the cinnamon roll was perfectly sweet. Came back to say we are hooked. I’ve ordered coffee from Portrait since this visit and everyone who tastes it raves. Stacy is our favorite - so good!
This is the best quality coffee I’ve had in the Atlanta area. This Black owned coffee shop’s atmosphere is welcoming & comforting. The staff are friendly and the barista makes AMAZING drinks. The music & artwork selections are top notch Black cafe vibes. Merch (coffee, art, books, available as well too). Thank you all so much!!!!!
I have been a patron of the restaurant located next door for years so I am always passing this spot to go there . I finally decided to stop in and patronize the spot. The staff was pretty blah. Not really sure how else to describe it. They did not do anything wrong, just not giving off the best energy. I ordered a matcha latte with oat milk. There were plenty of seats available so I sat down and waited for my drink to be prepared. It took about 5 minutes for them to make the drink. It was ok— nothing to recommend. I think that I owe them another visit to try the coffee out since that is what they are known for . The one thing I did love about this spot is the decor. It is simple , but provides character. I will give this spot another chance when I am in the area again.
This has been one of the best coffee shops I’ve visited in Atlanta so far. The coffee was top notch and worthy of taking home a bag of beans. They offered a small selection of pastries that can be heated upon request. The indoor seating is somewhat limited, but comfortable for doing work or holding a conversation. The outdoor seating was my favorite, and many types of people used it as a community space. Absolutely stop into Portrait and enjoy some great coffee and atmosphere.
