Rooted Coffeehouse West Lake
1030 W Lake Commons Dr, Martinez, GA
Crema's Take
“Rooted Coffeehouse is a spacious, welcoming spot in Martinez where espresso drinks are taken seriously and the food earns consistent praise from regulars who've been returning for years. The outdoor seating and booth-filled interior make it equally suited for lingering alone with a laptop or gathering with friends, though fair warning—the unmarked storefront and back parking can be tricky to find on your first visit. With prices in the $5-8 range and a solid 4.6 rating, it's become a neighborhood anchor that locals trust enough to visit repeatedly.”

Hmmm, where do I start… ok let’s go with the food first, A+! I should pause and give a disclaimer, this is my first time here and being a local, I would usually visit places a second time before I leave a review, but this establishment impressed me on the first try. I love to travel and I love looking for good food while traveling… I did not expect to find “travel experience quality” locally 😂. The atmosphere is lovely, the staff was friendly, and again… the food was delicious. Must try if you are in the Augusta area.
Visited Rooted for the first time and found it confusing to locate since there’s no clear sign with the shop’s name, just small window decals. Parking is in the back, and I walked in through what felt like a back entrance, which added to the initial awkwardness. The shop itself was busy and social. I liked the Christian music and the clean, Southern-charm aesthetic, but the overall vibe felt more prim and proper than cozy. Service seemed slow with one person handling orders at a time. Their drinks looked great but I didn’t order anything and was just looking for the Wi-Fi password which was hard to find and tucked away on a small sticker under a shelf. It just didn’t feel welcoming if you’re there to work on a laptop. I probably won’t be back. There is a Tesla charging station out back, if you need that
Visited rooted for the first time today for an afternoon coffee with some friends. It’s a lovely little coffee shop. The coffee price is similar to most coffee places, $5-8 for most coffees. I got the caramel latte, and I loved how sweet and well brewed the coffee was. The inside is one of the most wonderfully decorated coffee places I’ve visited. It’s a beautiful spot with great coffee.
I’ve been frequenting rooted for 7+ years and today the girl working the register was so miserable I almost left. Really disappointing. Did the whole millennial thing where they look at you but don’t say hi and speak super quietly and act as if you’re bothering them to be placing an order with this small business … super disappointing. She was making a list of “to dos” when we walked up but the only thing written on is was “vanilla”… idk just a really weird experience especially in the south. And the food was really bad comparatively as well. My sandwich was extremely smushed and the meat is all in one area so I have to pull it all apart and remake it to be able to eat. Probably won’t come back to this location again
Our first time at Rooted on Furys Ferry. Oddly I saw no sign saying Rooted Coffeehouse. The cafe is spacious with booths and tables with ample seating outside. The place has a welcoming and attractive alm bee ants. The menu is eclectic with more than enough choices. You order and pay at the counter, are given a number to place on the table, and the order is brought to you. The French toast slathered with berries is fabulous. Try it. I'll definitely be returning to Rooted
