Chau's Fresh Fruit
1120 Maunakea St, Honolulu, HI
Crema's Take
“This Chinatown gem crafts honest fruit smoothies with whole, unsweetened ingredients that taste vibrant and refreshing, with standouts like lilikoi and papaya that locals enthusiastically return for. Beyond the beverages, Chau's is a treasure trove of quick, affordable snacks—steamed peanuts for just a dollar are perfect for pairing with a cold drink on a hot Honolulu day. It's the kind of spot where you can grab a family-friendly snack before heading to the beach, though fair warning: the fruit smoothie prices and premium ingredients mean it's an indulgence rather than a bargain.”

The fruits are fresh, nước mía is alright, but the fruits are really expensive 🤪🥴
They use real fruits, no added sweetener. I got the combination of Papaya and Avocado for $8.
A smoothie place that used real fruits is the best. The lilikoi qas sweet and the seeds are crunchy. So refreshing in this hot Hawaiian weather. I had to go back for round 2 and got the papaya smoothie. The papaya smoothie was so smooth and creamy.
If you’re like us with a day planned at the Ko Olina Lagoons, think about first stopping by Chinatown on your way from Waikiki to have dim sum and pick up some delicious snacks @ Chau’s. A bag of boiled peanuts✅, fresh cut fruit like watermelon, pineapple & Hawaiian papaya ✅, and made-to-order sugar cane juice ✅.
Steamed peanuts are a great beer snack! $1 gets you one small scoop in a bag. I recommend getting $2 because one won't be enough!
