Crema's Take

This beloved San Anselmo bakery-café earns its Bay Area reputation with house-made croissants and breads so exceptional that locals return twice in one weekend, pairing them with generously proportioned egg sandwiches and seasonal specials like breakfast focaccia. The sunny terrace with picnic tables creates an unhurried, vacation-like atmosphere that transforms a simple coffee break into a proper gathering place, where fresh, farm-to-table fare and crispy bacon make even a $17 sandwich feel like a steal.

I had lunch here with a friend and it was such a nice break. Sitting on the sunny terrace at the picnic tables gave it a real vacation feel. The lunch options are fresh and farm-to-table inspired, simple but well done. The bread is excellent, so good that I brought one home. A relaxed spot with good food and an easy, pleasant atmosphere.

This is my one of my favorite bakery/cafés in the Bay Area. They make an absolutely delicious croissant and delectable mouthwatering breads. The menu is full of scrumptious bakery items, but also offers egg dishes, soups, salads, (Burrata Salad-yum!), sandwiches,(Cuban, Chicken Adobo and more), It’s a great spot to meet for breakfast or lunch and works just as well for meeting up with friends as it does for families with young children. There are tasty vegetarian items as well and it’s dog friendly. Great little spot, so lucky to have it in my neighborhood.

If you want a great sandwich place this is it! Everything looked so good. We got the egg sandwiches and everything tastes so fresh. Bread and bacon were nice and crispy!

I got the fried egg sandwich and was blown away by the price ($17) until it arrived and was huge, almost 2 egg sandwiches with a side salad and fresh fruit. It was very delicious and filling. The atmosphere was very busy, this is definitely not a place to come work on your laptop, it is a place to come with friends for a yummy breakfast but be prepared to leave when you’re done eating because the demand for a table is high and people were waiting.

So good we came back twice in one weekend!! Everything was absolutely delicious and the place is charming. We had the breakfast focaccia (a daily special) that will likely convince us to come back AGAIN some time this week. The baked eggs was also delicious as was the pear, walnut salad I had with lunch. 10 out of 10.
