Crema's Take

This downtown Sioux Falls spot pairs thoughtfully sourced coffee with the company of well-cared-for cats who have their own quiet retreat space when they need a break from socializing. The genuine warmth of the staff and reasonable prices make it equally welcoming for a solo laptop session, a date, or families bringing kids and out-of-town guests—and those adorable cat-themed pastries are just the cherry on top. It's the kind of place where an hour disappears in the best way possible, whether you're connecting with friends or quietly enjoying your coffee alongside a content feline companion.

My boyfriend and I spent an hour here, and it went by *so* fast! I love that there is a space between the two rooms for the cats to hide away in if they are "people-d out" for a while. Each cat has such a unique personality, and it's so fun to see them interact with each other. We only got bottles of water this trip, but I'm excited to try a coffee/smoothie at our next visit, they looked yummy! I highly recommend The Cattitude Café to any cat lovers in the area!

I would give zero stars if I could. I came from Colorado to visit a family member & brought my daughter she’s 2. For back story we have 3 dogs & a kitten at home, my mother/her grandmother has 3 dogs & a cat at home. My whole family loves animals & so my daughter has been around animals her whole life, she is very good with them very gentle & just wants to pet them, we don’t allow her to pick up the animals because she’s two. So from the moment we got there the blonde lady working was extremely off putting asking if we had read the online booking because I paid for 5 tickets to go in both cat rooms, I was confused but she explained the children can not go in the nook room of the cat cafe which is fine I called the 3 extra dollars on my daughters ticket a loss, we bought some coffee & the lady told us we can wait in the room. We went in & were greeted with some friendly kitties they were the only good thing about this place. It took the blonde worker 20 minutes to bring two coffees & we were the only people in the place!! So we were enjoying our time & when the lady finally brought us the coffee she Reiterated two more times that my daughter was not welcome to go to the cat nook room, again we said okay but I was wondering why she told us again when we already said we understand. After about twenty minutes my daughter was very excited playing with the kitties but she was getting a bit antsy & I didn’t want her to step on a kitties tail or something so I brought her out to the lobby to ask about getting her a cupcake (when I looked up if children under two are free it states no but their booking comes with a free cupcake) the lady was extremely rude to me & said “show me where it says that because we would never do that here” it made me extremely uncomfortable, so I tried to find it on the website while the lady stares at me rudely. I just figured forget it I can’t find it so I went back in the room, the blonde lady made this whole experience so uncomfortable we didn’t even stay there the whole hour & considering I spent 75 dollars on entry & 2 coffees I would not recommend anyone bring their family or child here. Maybe the other staff are more friendly but that blonde lady was awful. She made our experience horrible & we will not return.

This is such a great addition to the downtown area! I’ve been several times, taken kids, out of town guests, friends, etc. Prices are super reasonable. They sell the cutest cat-themed treats — cupcakes, rice crispies, macaroons, etc. The cat room is always clean. I have allergies, so I always pop a Zyrtec before visiting. The times I’ve forgotten I haven’t been overwhelmed with sneezing, which I chalk up to the rigorous cleaning schedule. I appreciate that the cats are given a space inaccessible to guests so they can take a break from people whenever they need. It’s always fun to see the newest residents, from playful kittens to chunky elders who just want to sleep on their cat tree. We’re so fortunate to have this business, which caters to cuteness and adopting out lovable strays. I love driving by in the evenings and spotting a friend lounging in one of the window hammocks. Be sure to say hi to Darla, the resident cat. She’s a rare chocolate brown, and such a sweet hostess.

Lovely stop to get coffee and enjoy the cats. Very friendly staff, cats are clean and healthy with a wonderful play area plus little doors to a quiet food/potty area in case they want space. You purchase time in the cat room in 30-60 min intervals and enjoy your beverage with the cats. A few are permanent residents but most are cats looking for adoption. Prices are very reasonable and coffee was delicious. And yes, Darla will definitely steal a sip of your coffee if you’re not careful 😆 🐾

I absolutely loved the cafe. We went the hour before closing time on a Friday, and it was great. The cats were so sweet, and I loved there was a place they could go (on the other side of a wall) if they got tired of people. The staff was fantastic; all friendly and eager to tell us more about each cat. While we didn't get to try the food, I had a coffee and my husband had a beer. They were both fantastic. They have events you can attend, like movies and painting with cats, I absolutely love that there is a place like this in Sioux Falls helping cats find their forever homes.
