Crema's Take
“Home Cafe's genuinely warm owner and scratch-made breakfast menu—think California omelets, avocado burritos with green chili, and sausage biscuits and gravy that regulars keep coming back for—make this feel less like a transaction and more like visiting a friend's kitchen. The small, unpretentious space draws a loyal neighborhood crowd who appreciate fresh, well-executed comfort food and an owner who actually remembers your name. If you're in Englewood craving a breakfast spot with real personality and zero pretense, this is worth the detour.”
What to expect
Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit spot, good for meetings. Full breakfast, pastries, and light food on the menu. Family friendly. Parking available.

See all on Google →This is a gem of a place. The California Omelet was delicious and well-portioned. I love the vibe of the place which is aptly named. Literally the nicest owner of a place I have ever visited. If I lived in the area(from Wisconsin) I would absolutely be a regular. Support this…
The home cafe is such a fitting name because I really feel at home here. Host is very nice and always so patent. Food is always fresh and so delicious! The owner is such a nice person and you can tell they really love the restaurant, the food and the customers.
I love small cafes, I especially loved that this one offers a breakfast bar, perfect for breakfast for one. I had a great experience, I ordered the breakfast tacos and enjoyed them. I do want to mention, the menu says that meals come with hash browns, beans and 2 eggs.... I was…
Such a cute spot. I’ve been here on several occasions now for breakfast. Their breakfast avocado burrito is so good. The green chili is delicious. Wish I could find a breakfast spot that serves breakfast burritos like this where I live. Definitely worth checking out. Friendly…
Nice neighborhood breakfast/lunch cafe. We both ended up getting the same thing eggs, sausage patties, on biscuits and gravy whith homefries. All was really good. Its a small place and have several Mexican dishes. The owners I believe are of Mexican descent.
Absolutely fell in LOVE with this quaint little place! Owner was amazingly accommodating! She knew everyone by name that walked through the doors! Food was excellent. Apparently a local favorite since 1955! History of the spot was wonderful to hear about! 10/10 will be back!!
