Another amazing breakfast! Mari our waitress did an excellent job. Our food was delicious. Coffee was sooo good! This is our favorite place for breakfast when we are in the area. We will definitely be back.
From the moment we were seated, Michael was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. He has a natural ability to make guests feel comfortable and valued without ever being overbearing. His knowledge of the menu was impressive—he explained specials in detail, made thoughtful recommendations, and answered every question with confidence and enthusiasm. Beyond his technical skills, Michael’s warm personality and positive attitude elevated our entire dining experience. He created an atmosphere that felt both professional and personal, which is a rare balance to achieve. The food was TEXAS-SIZED and extremely delicious. Not only did the ingredients taste fresh, but they were also tailored to all requests and served quickly. I highly recommend everyone try it.
We stopped by Old West Cafe after a hospital visit with my Aunt, and it was exactly what she needed. Being from East Texas, she’s a bit of a Chicken Fried Steak expert, and Old West truly delivered! Everything was delicious—from the CFS and mashed potatoes to the fried okra, fries, and even the grilled cheese and fruit for the lighter appetite. A huge shoutout to our waiter, Michael H. He was so sweet and helpful; his friendly banter really brightened our day. It’s rare to find great food and great service in one spot, but Michael and the kitchen staff nailed it. We will definitely be back! Thank you Old West and Michel H
After a late Sunday night Cowboys game, we stopped at Old West Cafe near the airport before our Monday flight. Even at 11:30 a.m. on a Monday, it was busy, but the wait was short. This place delivers classic comfort food with hearty portions. Huge selection of different breakfast options. The chicken fried chicken sandwich was crispy on a soft bun with bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and a creamy sauce, plus a big side of fries. It leaned a bit salty for me (battered chicken, cheese, and bacon), so I’d skip the cheese next time. Breakfast shines here, especially the biscuits and gravy. The eggs, bacon, and hash browns were simple, comforting, and exactly what you want from a classic diner after a night of drinking. No frills and tucked into a strip mall, but the food makes it a clear winner and explains why it’s so popular.
We made the hour-long drive to this little cafe last weekend and let me just say—it was so worth it. Everything we ordered was super fresh, crazy flavorful, and made with real love. Every bite was like a little party in my mouth. You can taste when food is made with intention and this place nailed it across the board. No basic flavors here! Most of the staff was really sweet and welcoming, which made the whole vibe feel warm and homey. The lady up front might’ve missed her morning coffee. A little uptight, kinda gave off the “don’t talk to me” energy but hey, we all have our days, right? We’ll definitely be back even if it means driving another hour. Good food is good food, and this spot’s got it down. Just hoping next time the front greeter cracks a smile.
