Crema's Take

This Destin gem has mastered the art of the complete morning experience, where expertly pulled espresso drinks like their cinnamon bun latte stand shoulder-to-shoulder with breakfast sandwiches that get the simple things gloriously right—perfectly cooked eggs, crispy bacon, and melted cheese on toasted multigrain bread. The baristas here take real pride in their craft, and you'll feel it watching them work, all while the newly expanded space gives you room to linger over your drink and pastry without feeling rushed. Whether you're meeting a friend or fueling up solo, East Pass strikes that rare balance of specialty coffee ambition and approachable, satisfying food that keeps locals coming back.

East Pass Coffee Company absolutely nails it with their breakfast sandwich. The over medium egg is cooked just right, the bacon is savory, and the mild cheddar melts perfectly into the toasted multigrain bread. The arugula adds a fresh bite, but what really makes this sandwich special is the hot pepper jelly; a sweet, spicy kick that ties everything together and elevates every bite. Simple ingredients, perfectly balanced, and genuinely crave worthy. A must-order breakfast. Take it to the beach for maximum effect. The coffee is also great.

⭐⭐⭐.5 (3.5/5 Stars) "We finally made it into the new East Pass Coffee Co. location! It’s impressive to see how they’ve grown—they recently moved from their older, smaller spot to this newly built, spacious building just a block away. We kept it simple this visit with a hot drip coffee (proudly serving JumpinGoat beans) and the 'Green Drink' smoothie. The drip was solid and reliable, while the green drink—packed with spirulina, avocado, and mango—was a fresh, healthy choice for my wife. The vibe here is the real winner. The new space has a great modern-coastal feel with plenty of indoor seating and a large, fenced-in outdoor patio that’s perfect for families and pets. While our drinks were good, I definitely have my eye on the Smash Burger for next time—it’s a newer addition to their expanded kitchen menu that locals have been raving about. A great community spot that’s only getting better!"

PLEASANTLY SURPRISED! I came looking for a hot espresso… I left with just that AND a healthy breakfast on my belly! The barista was mesmerizing to watch as she perfected her craft! And although laser focused she was joyful and even looked over and smiled in the midst of the making of these smooth and yummy treats! Although I was tempted to buy the blueberry muffin or seasonal pumpkin muffins, I was impressed with the food options and opted for. Protein bowl - and pleasantly surprised was an understatement. So I enjoyed my bowl first in the outdoor dining area enjoying that coastal breeze and some vintage music. Then I carried on with my day sipping the hot smooth espresso with joy! This place is a must visit for mornings in Destin Florida!

I really wanted to like East Pass Coffee Co. The aesthetic and photos online make it look like the perfect weekend coffee spot, but unfortunately, the food and drinks didn’t live up to the hype. Everything was just... mid. I ordered the breakfast sandwich, which was nearly $12 on its own—and for that price, I expected something special. Instead, it was pretty basic, and the portion size underwhelming. It comes with tater tots as the default side, which felt off-brand for what appears to be a "healthier" breakfast place. Swapping them for fruit was an extra $1.00, which just added to the sense that you're overpaying for very average food. I also got the Coco for Moca drink, which sounded promising but ended up tasting watered down and lacking any punch. The final straw was the egg situation. I had ordered my sandwich with an over-easy egg, but it came out with the yolk already cracked and spilled all over the plate and under the sandwich. When I asked for it to be remade, the server was polite, but responded with, “Did you mean over medium?” No—I meant I didn’t want a mess on my plate and my sandwich falling apart. It wasn’t a huge issue, but the lack of attention to detail and execution added to the overall disappointment. I usually don’t write reviews for places that are just "okay," but this felt like a letdown—especially after spending over $20 and walking away wishing I’d gone somewhere else. Here's hoping they dial in the quality to match the vibe. 3 Stars for Food 5 Stars for Service 5 Stars for Atmosphere
