The Hub-The Roasterie & Heaping Plato
605 Morrill Rd, Ames, IA
Crema's Take
“This Ames spot pairs solid specialty coffee with an ambitious food program that swings between hits and misses—fresh ingredients shine in dishes like their spicy falafel, though execution can be inconsistent. It's a popular student hangout that gets packed quickly, so expect a wait, but the affordable prices and genuine effort toward healthy options make it worth the visit if you're after coffee and something more than a pastry.”

They sell $12 rice bowls with minuscule amount of tomatoes corn and other toppings except lettuce. Who wants to eat rice and lettuce??? Really should avoid this place as there are much better options on campus.
Ordered a sausage burrito. It was still cold in the center. Not sure if it's cooked thoroughly or not. See photos: who the hell serves a burrito like this? Wrap it in foil, yall are too weird for this.
The lobby is not very clean. The food was so bad I threw it away after two bites. Coffee is passable but I definitely would not get again
The Plato is great. Ingredients are very fresh and it is decently quick to get your food. Place is often packed, and the only downside is that the resulting lines can be quite long.
I've had breakfast and lunch here!! They have great healthy options. Spicy falafel is something I would suggest for anyone to try!! Its an affordable place for students.
