Crema's Take
“Cherrywood is a beloved Austin neighborhood spot that strikes the perfect balance between serious coffee and serious food, with standout items like their breakfast burrito and avocado bacon cheese burger that keep regulars coming back for lunch dates and solo study sessions alike. The spacious interior with tables ranging from intimate two-tops to large group seating makes it equally welcoming whether you're planning a trip with friends or settling in with your laptop for the afternoon, and they open late enough to catch you whenever inspiration strikes.”

We specifically asked that our eggs be cooked medium to well. They came out running all over the plate and raw. The bacon was great and crispy. The toast was fine. The hash browns tasted like old grease. The pancake looks good and my husband said he's had them before and they are good. It's a really big menu so I would look for something without eggs. Unless you order themscrambled and well done. Amended review::: as we were finishing our breakfast, a manager walked by and asked us how everything was, I told her about the eggs and she could see that they on my plate and extremely runny. She amended our bill and offered to remake the eggs. I commend her for that! I'll be back for lunch sometime.
I love Cherrywood and go there regularly for lunch dates. The food and coffee is delicious. Some of my favorite dishes are the ranch chicken salad and the avacado bacon cheese burger. There are lots of seating options inside and out. The only issue I've run into is that they are usually short staffed. Typically 1-2 people at the register/bar and a big line can build up quickly. Despite the small staff, they are always friendly and welcoming.
This is my favorite coffee shop for studying alone as well as trip planning with friends. Inside there are tables of varying sizes, allowing for groups of up to 10-12 people. Finding outlets to charge your laptop can be tricky, so definitely bring your laptop charged. We've always been able tk move to a table near an outlet before our laptops die. As far as parking goes, they have a lot, but you can also park on the street for free if ir gets full. The food is always great, but maybe a tad overpriced. I love their burgers, fish tacos, huevos rancheros, breakfast sandwich, and the Thai wrap. You can sub the side of fries or chips and salsa for a cucumber salad, which is nice if you're looking for a healthier option. When Austin gets our 4 months of good weather, the outside patio is really pleasant, but I don't think there are many outlets outside. Sometimes there is live music or comedy shows outside, which can be cool if you're able to nab a table.
Tried this place for the first time. The breakfast quesadilla with salsa and pico is really good and flavorful. I tried the banana bread, it was a large piece and the taste was solid. It was moist and tasted fresh. The chia I tried is sourced locally. It’s a concentrate that isn’t overly spicy or sweet. I got it hot with a shot of espresso with cinnamon and really enjoyed it.
We had a great experience! Yummy food. A solid local coffee house. Ty w best breakfast burrito in Austin. Don’t know how or why but it was amazingly good. Staff was great.
