Teazona Dumpling & Noodle Asian Kitchen
4316 E Cactus Rd, Phoenix, AZ
Crema's Take
“This casual, no-frills spot is beloved by locals for its quality boba tea and handmade dumplings, particularly the chicken and mushroom varieties that keep regulars coming back. While the kiosk ordering system and minimal ambiance won't win design awards, the genuine care in the drinks and food speaks louder than aesthetics, making it a solid late-night grab for those prioritizing flavor over Instagram-worthy surroundings.”

If you are looking for quality dumplings and boba tea, this small, no-frills restaurant is the place to go. Full disclosure -- Teazona does not have ambiance but the chicken and mushroom dumplings and shrimp dumplings (labeled Hargow) provided value for its price point. What this restaurant lacks in atmosphere it more than makes up for with Naira. She was the kind, intelligent woman who took my order. Naira explained the various boba options and food choices; all with a warm and welcoming manner. Teazona is so lucky to have such a competent, professional employee. I was looking for a boba tea that isn't sugar-laden and Teazona delivered. The lime fruit tea was chock full of fresh limes. It was yummy. Since it was not pre-sugared, I was able to have it without added sugar, and I was pleased with the result. Also, Teazona is part of Door Dash's eat in discount deals.
Had to order from a kiosk, there wasn’t a picture or description of most items, we ordered a couple orders of beef bao thinking they’d be bao buns based on the only pic in that category of pork bao, it turned out to be a flat sandwich style with a sweet sauce and mayo, they did not offer to change it for another menu item and kids wouldn’t eat it.
Had pot stickers, beef dan dan noodles and yakusoba noodles. $40. The yakusoba noodles was just a large bowl of noodles with a tiny bit of zucchini, cabbage and some peanuts. The sauce was off. I can't really describe it but tasted almost metallic, very bizarre. No protein and almost no vegetables for $15. The Dan Dan noodles with beef had a much better flavor. No veggies just strips of very fibrous beef that was a little off putting. Thank God for the pot stickers, they were very good but they only gave me a tablespoon of sauce which wasn't near enough. Even for $20, I would have felt cheated but for $40 I was robbed. I did not have the Boba tea...which is hopefully a lot better than the noodles.
I am writing to express my concern regarding a recent order of the yakisoba soy sauce noodles. Based on the menu photo, I expected a dish with additional ingredients; however, upon opening the container, it consisted solely of plain noodles. The presentation and contents were significantly different from what was advertised, which I found misleading. Given the portion and lack of accompanying ingredients, I do not feel that the $12 price accurately reflects the value of the dish received. I wanted to bring this to your attention and hope this feedback will be helpful.
Pros: Orange chicken was great! Beef and broccoli was good. Chicken and noodles bowl was also good. Cons: My kiddo didn't really like the Boba drink which is weird because she usually downs them in under 5 minutes. Potstickers didn't taste right, kind of like a dirty pan and the pork egg rolls also tasted dirty like old oil or something. Pretty expensive Overall, we visited based on the great reviews and pics. It was OK, can't say I would return but glad we gave it a shot.
