Crema's Take
“Tucked inside the historic National Hotel, The Gilded Acorn is a thoughtfully designed refuge where the plants are actually thriving and the seasonal specialty drinks justify a detour downtown. Whether you're lingering over their standout cookies (the butterscotch oatmeal and sea salt chocolate chip are legendary) or ducking in between meetings, this cozy spot nails that rare balance of being equally suited for quick caffeine runs and slower afternoons with friends.”

Cozy aesthetically pleasing little spot! Plants are well cared for, Nothing worse than going into a spot that chose to have live plants as part of the decor/ambiance just for them to be neglected. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable about their menu options. The avocado toast was great. Matcha superb! I might go as far as the best I’ve had in Okc. The London fog needed a little help tasted likely water but making tea is an art. Overall beautiful spot. We will be back!
Cutest little coffee and pastry shop in the National Hotel. Super cool vibe amazing coffee and the cookies were to die for! Favorite was the butterscotch oatmeal and sea salt chocolate chip!
This place was the perfect little stop for drinks and a bite while walking around downtown. We went during Christmas time and the seasonal tea drinks were phenomenal, the vibe was cute, and sitting at the window looking at the downtown buildings and lights felt nice and cozy.
I visited The Gilded Acorn while on a work trip and a few of my coworkers and I were needing a coffee shop to talk over our upcoming presentation in downtown OKC. I am very glad that a coworker of mine said we should go here. My first impression upon walking in was that the atmosphere was very bright and uplifting while also being somewhat unique. There was plenty of seating when we visited which was around 10AM on a weekday but unfortunately not many outlets. I ordered the dirty chai latte (pictured) and thought it was really well-made with a healthy portion and reasonably priced. I recommend visiting The Gilded Acorn if you are looking to get some work done, read a book, or catch up with a friend.
Went for lunch today. Ordered the DUO of a soup and salad. Came here for the beet salad, but told unavailable currently. Listed online and printed on menu in person. Not sure if they are short on ingredients or simply need to update their menu. Decided on a house salad and butternut squash soup. Salad had blueberries and strawberries with champagne vinaigrette. Taste was light and refreshing with contrast of savory blue cheese. Butternut squash soup had good flavor. Unfortunately, the texture was that of baby food. Not much of a soup, but more of a thick purée. Always love their pastry options, but probably won’t order the soup again.
