Crema's Take

Tucked into tiny quarters on Aspen's glitzy main drag, this authentically French-run café feels like a genuine neighborhood gathering spot where locals and visitors alike linger over excellent croissants, quiche, and carefully made lattes. The warm, unpretentious vibe—complete with a genuine French owner's touch—offers a refreshing escape from Aspen's high-end posturing, and the staff keeps the energy welcoming even when the place is packed shoulder-to-shoulder. Whether you're catching breakfast with family or meeting friends for a pastry and coffee, you'll taste the care in every flaky croissant and buttery sandwich.

I love this place because Aspen is quite high end and “showy” but this French Cafe brings you back to home. Wonderful staff. Terrific customer service despite how busy this tiny place is. You can tell locals come here for lunch often. This place is right off the beaten path and quite worth the stop! Skip Starbucks and come here! The coffee is terrific and they make specialty drinks; don’t you worry 😊 Oh! And the GF cookies are delicious.

Excellent breakfast. I enjoyed a latte and a ham sandwich on a fresh croissant. Both were excellent! I

Excellent little bakery, with a large selection of baked goods as well as breakfasts and lunches. We came every morning for breakfast during our trip.

Delicious pastries, sandwiches, omelettes, and salads. My children love the quiche and mini donuts. The space inside is tiny, but there are a few tables outside too. They also serve wine and other beverages. Best place in the area to get pastries.

So Yummy pastries. Breakfast sandwich with butter croissant was so good. We came back for lunch. We met a local elderly couple John and Bunny at lunch and learned that the original owner was French. He owned this place for 15 years and then retired and train Freddy Spanish family all of his French’s recipes. Now we know why the pastries 🥮 we so great. 😀👍. The cashier Monica was so courteous and pleasant to talk to. Highly recommended for breakfast and luncheon. ❤️
