Crema's Take

Mariachi Bakery is a beloved local spot in Artesia where the real magic happens at the intersection of coffee and pan dulce—their abuelita and mazapan lattes pair beautifully with consistently fresh, pillowy pastries that keep regulars coming back. While their specialty drinks lean creative and occasionally divisive (the churro latte has passionate detractors), the warm, welcoming staff and genuine sense of community make this feel less like a coffee run and more like visiting a neighborhood gathering place.

I’ve had better coffee from Folgers & International Delight creamer. This “Churro Latte” was disgusting, tasted like watered down espresso. Took 3 sips & tossed it. By far the worse coffee I’ve had. I walked in. 4 people working. 1 person at the counter, 3 in the corner talking, making themselves their own drinks. Person at counter was helping the customer before me, you’d think one person from corner would come and get my order started to help the original person in counter… Nope. 100% would not return.

Love this place! Love it more because it's a local business, not a huge corporation. Their abuelita late and Mazapan late are super! The bakery is great and they tend to have different options depending on the holiday season like Easter, Valentines Day ect. I could just sit and listen to their music all day. You need to try this place!

We stopped by for some coffee but ended up ordering the Empanada Duo Box, CHORIZO Burrito, Orchard Cold Brew, Churro Crumb Cake and the guava cheese croissant. Thats a whole lunch! The staff was so kind and warm. I let one of the employees know this was my first time here and she was so sweet. She recommended the Spanish Latte and proceeded to provide the seasonal items. After her suggestions we ate outside in the eating area in the sun. Let me tell you ... this place was amazing! Loved the food and cafécitos we got. If you are in the area you should stop by and get a pastry or the empenadas. Gracias for the food and the kind ssmallest! You all are doing amazing! Se agradece tu servicio! Son muy amables!

Maraichi Bakery is easily one of my favorite coffee shops. From the coffee to the food, everything is so yum especially the birria empanadas. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit enjoyable. I genuinely love going there, and if you ever get the chance to stop by, you definitely should. You won’t regret it!

Mariachi Bakery has quickly become my favorite stop whenever I’m in town. They offer an impressive variety of pan dulce that is always fresh, soft, and full of flavor. It’s the kind of bakery where the pastries are so tempting that it’s nearly impossible to leave without taking at least a couple with you. Alongside the pastries, their coffee is excellent—smooth, flavorful, and far superior to the generic taste you’ll find at the big-name coffee chain located right across the street. The hot food menu is also worth mentioning. Everything I’ve tried has been tasty and made with care, which makes it a great place not just for a morning coffee and pastry, but also for a casual breakfast or quick meal. The bakery itself is cozy and on the smaller side, but that never feels like a drawback since there is plenty of parking available outside, making it very convenient. What makes Mariachi Bakery stand out is the combination of quality, authenticity, and comfort. It’s not a flashy place, but that’s exactly what gives it its charm. You come here for great coffee, delicious baked goods, and an experience that feels more personal and welcoming than any chain café could ever offer. This is absolutely my go-to spot in town for coffee and pan dulce, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a place that serves real flavor and genuine hospitality. Verdict: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
