Jabberwocky: A poem by Lewis Carroll that was included in 1871 book 📖 "Through the Looking -Glass". It was his sequel to"Alice in Wonderland" (1865). The poem is described as a playful nonsensical structured poem filled with made up words. "Chortle" could be the most recognized word from the poem. The story is of a father who warns his son about the Jabberwock and other dangers. The son uses a sword 🗡️ to kill the Jabberwock. The son returns and is 🎉 celebrated as a hero. Jabberwocky: A 1977 movie 🎥 directed and co-written by Terry Gilliam and starring Michael Palin. Jabberwocky: A children's TV show that ran on WCVB-TV Boston from 1972-74. It stayed in syndication till 1990. Jabberwocky: A TARDIS style 📚 bookstore that is bigger on the inside than its appearance on the outside that resides in the Tannery Marketplace in Newburyport, Massachusetts. With all of the new 🆕 books sorted by genre including magazines, children's, a small anime and graphic novel section as well as a used books room. Prices of new books were on sale when I visited. The used books were in good condition and priced at current market value. Friendly and helpful staff. People in wheelchairs ♿ or walkers will need to use the Tannery Marketplace entrance to enter. Stairs are the only way to access the young adult and children's section on the upper level. I am certain the staff can help you find what you are looking for in that genre. The store was busy. Ninety minute parking 🅿️ spaces outside for customers. Cafe, toy 🧸🪀 store and pizzeria available at the marketplace. Chairs at the bookstore to sit 🪑 and read. It is worth a visit if you are a bookworm like me.

I stopped in for a quick stop yesterday and to say I was blown away is an understatement. The staff was SO helpful. The prices were amazing, I love that there is a used section in the back. I love the staff recommendations section. And who doesn't love a bookstore with a dog! I can't wait to bring my husband here.

I stopped in here as I was intrigued at the size of it, the website saying "over 7000 square feet of books," but I feel like this was a bit of an overstatement. Even if the actual square footage is not a lie, (I'm not a contractor; I don't know), but I just did not find the inside all that impressive. Perhaps it was just the layout that made it feel cramped, or the selection which did not seem that great to me. It's hard to find what you're looking for because the genres aren't organized in any certain way. The used book section was nice but was a terrible selection, a lot cooking, history, and travel, and seemingly not a lot of fiction. There was a decent selection of Children's books which I did like, though, because a lot of bookstores only have a small section. The staff seemed knowledgeable, albeit one man was kind of annoying by continually approaching people asking if they were finding everything okay. I'd rather just be left alone to browse and find the employee myself if I have questions. Prices were not impressive either, some were quite expensive; only marked books are discounted. Overall, this was definitely a cool place to stop in, but at the end of the day it's just your typical bookstore.

I visited this bookstore while waiting on an order from another shop in the building. It’s your typical independent bookstore. It’s a bit cramped and book genres are organized haphazardly. When you walk in, they have popular booktok and bookstagram books separated in the front, as well as newer best selling titles that are currently discounted. They have a used book section, with is great. It’s on the small side, but it’s so nice to see a local store with used books these days. They also have a discounted section for new books that have minor damage. I was able to find two books there at a super price. The store is located inside of a building that acts as a small mall for the establishments inside. It’s enclosed and has air and heat and public restrooms. There are public tables outside the bookstore where you can sit and read or work. There’s a coffee shop adjacent to the bookstore and a few other stores you can browse. They have a parking lot just outside with free parking. It can get busy at times, but there’s usually always someone leaving. Overall, this was a nice find, 4 stars
