Cafe Ambrosia
465 W 23rd St, New York, NY
Crema's Take
“Cafe Ambrosia is a warm neighborhood gem where owner Hyun crafts signature drinks and pastries that keep regulars coming back, with enough creative energy to make it feel special without the pretension. The cozy Chelsea space works equally well for a solo work session with reliable wifi (just arrive before 3pm rush) or for hosting something meaningful—reviewers rave about everything from their cold brew's boldness to the artful interior that gives you something beautiful to look at while you sip. Come early morning or on quieter days to fully soak in the serene, gracious vibe that makes this spot feel more like a friend's living room than a typical coffee shop.”

I got here a little late on Sunday morning, around 11:45 AM. It’s a nice place to sit and relax, but I think timing matters. I’d probably try it again earlier in the morning or on a quieter day. I ordered a latte and a pastry. The latte was good but not particularly memorable, and the pastry was fine, though it didn’t feel super fresh that day. Service was friendly, but there was a short wait to order and to get my drink.
This spot is a hidden gem, amazing signature drinks and pastries. The owner Hyun is lovely and dedicated. We had a baby shower event organized in this coffee shop and it turned out perfect - they were very accommodating and helped us make the event warm and memorable.
Decent matcha latte. Also ordered pistachio slice which tasted good. Came here to work and they have free wifi. Place is okay for work but it gets crowded around 3pm. Restroom is clean.
I stopped by while I was in the area craving some coffee and ordered a cold brew, it was strong and flavorful. The unique interior and artworks made it enjoyable to look around while I drank, and the owner was very kind and welcoming.
Charming new coffee shop in Chelsea. Cozy and comfortable setting, for either a quick coffee or two hang out and work in a quiet and serene space. The staff is gracious, friendly, and efficient. The espresso drinks were perfect, perfectly prepared, and I couldn’t resist one of their tasty sweet treats. A lovely addition to the neighborhood.
