We asked the desk clerk at our hotel for a good local breakfast place and she recommended MartAnn’s restaurant. This was a unique breakfast experience that served traditional Mexican breakfast but also American traditional fare as well. Everything was done top notch, and this was one of the best breakfasts I’ve have in a while. I had the chorizo / egg breakfast and it came the healthy side of hashbrowns that were done perfectly as well as rice and beans. It stuck to my ribs and carried me all through the day until supper that evening. my wife had some really awesome French toast. We will definitely be here again the next time we’re in Flagstaff.

100% exactly what I wanted visiting Arizona. We went around 11 so we got brunch. I am telling you it was my favorite meal on my trip. Our server recommended the Volcano dish so I could get a sampling of everything: A mini mountain of chilaquiles topped with pork green chile, chorizo and sour cream, served with an over medium egg. It came with hash browns, beans, and a tortilla. And they aren’t kidding about the mountain. Portions here are huge. I devoured it all though. It was just sooo good! Every bite I had was phenomenal. We also ordered the house horchata. You could tell it was homemade. Highly recommend. I wouldn’t recommend Joe’s favorite omelette though. It was dry and kind of lacked flavor. My friend isn’t big into spice which is why she got it. But still it was lack luster. However, you need to go here! Enjoy it when you do!! Side note, our server was incredible. She helped us out with recommending what to do in Flagstaff in addition to taking great care of us!

This Mexican food is delish!! In town for my son’s robotics competition and decided to check it out. So glad I did! I’m from LA so I ca be picky when it comes to good Mexican food. What got me is the high ratings and the seitan reviews. I’m not vegan but like to try vegan dishes when I go to restaurants. I’ve heard of seitan but never tried it before. The seitan here is absolutely delicious!!! Seasoned well and i felt like I was eating meat! I also had the carne asada plate and everything on it was good.

stopped at MartAnne’s Burrito Palace during our trip, and the experience had some highs and lows. When we walked in, both hosts (Griselda and the younger woman helping seat guests) looked at us but didn’t say hello or acknowledge us. No greeting, no “I’ll be right with you” — nothing. It felt strange and set the tone in an unexpected way. Thankfully, our waitress Sophia turned everything around. She was the only pleasant and attentive staff member we interacted with. She greeted us right away, checked in on us throughout the meal, and made sure we had what we needed. If it weren’t for her, this would be a very different rating. Food-wise, I’d give it about a 3.8/5 overall. What we ordered: Two a la carte vegan tacos ($5.99 each): We tried one crunchy and one soft flour tortilla. The veggies were charred a bit too much and needed some kind of sauce to bring it together. Vegan cheese would take these to another level. Fish tacos plate ($17.99): These were hands down the BEST fish tacos I’ve ever had. Perfectly seasoned, great texture, and the beans and smashed potatoes (we ordered without cheese) were amazing. Street carne asada tacos (3) ($17.59): These were just okay. Not bad, just not memorable. The beans on the side were phenomenal, though. One red chile beef taco ($5.29): This one was underwhelming. The flavor didn’t stand out and the texture was flat. Portions were solid for the price, and the menu has a ton of options, but service on the front end really needs improvement. Sophia carried the experience. Would I return? Possibly — but only if I’m seated in Sophia’s section.

My husband and I are visiting Arizona for our honeymoon (we're from Ohio) and this was one of the first places we decided to try out! And we're so glad we did, some of the best Mexican food we've ever had! Love the atmosphere and the music. Staff is very attentive and friendly, and the food is amazing! We also loved the beautiful art on the walls, definitely gives MartAnnes a unique kind of charm! We visited twice during our stay, can't say enough good things about this place. Highly recommend, if we're ever in Arizona we'll definitely come back! Much love from the Newbolds 💙
