Coffeebar

1750 Village East Rd Unit 61, Tahoe City, CA

Crema's Take

Tucked into Tahoe City, Coffeebar punches well above what you'd expect from a ski resort café, with smooth, thoughtfully-crafted espresso and house-made syrups and mocha sauce that elevate even their traditional drinks into something special. The team genuinely welcomes you in, and beyond the excellent coffee, they've built a reputation for fresher, lighter food options than the typical village fare—making it a reliable spot whether you're hunting great beans to take home or settling in for a leisurely sit with a pastry.

So impressed to find actually great coffee at a ski resort! Staff was so welcoming and friendly. The coffee was wonderful, we even stopped back in to buy some beans. What a treat after a day on the mountain.

Holy shrinkflation! Prices are higher (again!) and the breakfast burrito is made with what looks to be a taco tortilla and with very little chorizo. I was a long time customer, but I’ll bring my own snacks or eat on the mountain from here on out.

WOW. they make their syrups AND mocha sauce in house. So rare. And, they do an excellent job. Their espresso is very smooth you can still recognize that it's good coffee but it doesn't overtake the specialty drinks flavours, and its suuuuper smooth. Great quality milk. I am utterly obsessed with the szechuan orange mocha. A genius flavour pairing, they nailed the balance of orange and floral szechuan, mild tongue tingling smoothed over by some chocolate. Sosoosos good i ordered it hot. The banana bread latte is perfect! Not too sweet at all. I got it iced it is so refreshing and lip smacking.

A total gem and a staple for Palisades. Great coffee, pastries and health food. GF options and healthier food than the typical junk around the village. Anyone that wants to judge them on service needs to remember that it’s sitting in a ski resort and serving the masses. The staff here are awesome and doing a great job. Cut them some slack. Try working at a ski resort with a bunch of tourist day in and day out with people frantically trying to get their orders. All things considered I think they do a solid job.

Great spot for those who prefer healthier non-greasy lunch options. We had the chicken rice bowl and it was decent.
