Crema's Take

Breezeway Coffee strikes an impressive balance between serious espresso craftsmanship and genuinely welcoming hospitality, with baristas who clearly care about making each visit feel personal rather than transactional. The intimate, thoughtfully decorated space tucked into a Matthews shopping center punches well above its surroundings, offering everything from meticulously pulled single-origin pour overs to creative seasonal drinks that justify lingering for hours. Despite some mixed first impressions from skeptical visitors, those who stick around discover a cozy haven that's become a favorite for both specialty coffee enthusiasts and laptop-toting regulars seeking real community.

Meh. Overpriced. With such proximity to Panera, Starbucks and even the Whole Foods veranda I was really expecting a better vibe. Seating is cramped. Service is fast but it lacks hospitality. Baristas don't look up don't smile it's very off putting. Definitely have had better cltasting coffee nearby. And no shade, but there really are better options nearby. The area in general is very nice but it's a no for me dog. Breezeway ISN'T the go-to cafe unless of course everything else is simply too affordable for you.

The ambiance is amazing. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. I had read a bunch of negative reviews which almost impacted my decision to come here and give it a try. I have since been here several times and have never had a bad experience. In addition, the drinks are reasonably priced, very competitive in comparison to some coffee shops. Most importantly, the coffee itself tastes amazing. If this establishment is indeed under new management or ownership, they are doing an amazing job and should be proud.

The inside is super cute, love the decor and little sitting areas. Definitely perfect for a solo study trip 😄 I ordered the Iced Strawberry Blond Latte from the summer menu. It was amazing and sweet, just how I like it ! Staff were very kind and attentive to my questions about the menu too!

I visited this cafe on February and tried their El Salvador Finca San Luis pour over. The indoor decor was so cozy and I spent about 2 hours there doing my coursework that day. Also tried their apple cider loaf and blackberry creamy smoothie (a bit too sweet for me) and all of their staff are great! After chatting with one of their staff, I purchased two bags of coffee beans as gift for my auntie and she likes them a lot~ Fantastic experience for me ❀ ♡

This coffee shop was really unique and cool. It is in the middle of a shopping center but very busy. The decor and environment were very warm, and they had plenty of options for all types of coffees, snacks, and drinks. People were busy on laptops, talking or relaxing. Recommend if you're in this neighborhood.
