First Light
793 Sunset Blvd, Corolla, NC
Crema's Take
“First Light is the rare Outer Banks breakfast spot that's evolved into a legitimate all-day destination, with a recently renovated interior that feels genuinely cozy and a kitchen that executes everything from generous crab cakes to their surprisingly excellent dinner menu with equal care. The staff here is uncommonly attentive and the place stays spotless, making it the kind of reliable, well-run spot that works equally well for a solo coffee break or a full family gathering. Come for the comfort food and reliable execution, not for adventurous coffee—they do traditional drinks well, and that's the point.”
What to expect
Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit, outdoor seating spot, good for meetings. Full breakfast, pastries, and light food on the menu. Open late. Dog friendly. Family friendly. Parking available.

The recent flooring and decor upgrades are so cozy and homey feeling. All that's missing is a recliner by the fireplace for your after meal nap. Home of the world's only known Mimosa Tree. Nature AND mimosa lovers rejoice! I had the shrimp and grits. For background, it's…
First Lighthouse Cafe in the Outer Banks is an absolute gem. The staff is incredibly well-trained, attentive, and the entire restaurant is spotless and very well taken care of. Our waitress, Shea, was amazing — friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better.…
Good lunch spot on a cold January day. The crab cake was perfect. Big and cooked perfectly. The coleslaw was delicious and I’m not a fan of coleslaw. Staff was attentive and helpful. Place has a good relaxed vibe.
We were sooo glad they were open for lunch on a cold winter day. We had the crab cake sandwich and fries and both were delicious. The portions were generous.
