La Luz Coffee
1115 Griegos Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM
Crema's Take
“La Luz is a sun-drenched neighborhood gem where thoughtfully curated music and striking architectural design create the kind of space that naturally transforms into your favorite hangout spot. The baristas are genuinely kind and attentive, the matcha is exceptional, and their constantly rotating specials keep regulars coming back—plus the sister bar Burritos connection means you can pair an expertly pulled espresso with a vegan breakfast burrito without leaving the building.”

pet friendly coffee shop. gets busy at times but there’s street parking. i like their chai a lot & the vegan breakfast burritos
always a little busy but it’s slowly becoming my fav coffee shop. their specials are always on point! i also love that they have sister bar burritos, and their pastry selection is amazing.
The vibes here are immaculate. Music is perfectly chosen, no loud rap or pop, and the design of the building is out of this world. The way the sun rises and shines through the windows is just so lovely and there is plenty of comfortable, padded and unpadded seating. Bathrooms are non-gendered, well designed. There's outdoor seating for you and your pets. Great place to go if you need a quieter place to study or zen out. Dog friendly with pup cups.
Everyone that works here is so kind and helpful. The music is never too loud and this has very quickly turned into one of my favorite spots to hangout and study. There are 4 bathrooms so you’re never waiting in line AND they’re always clean. Check out the latte art I got today! It’s so so beautiful and unique.
Happened upon this cute coffee shop while biking around the neighborhood. What a sweet spot! Baristas were very friendly and attentive, the matcha was exceptionally good, and the pastry we tried was so beautifully-baked and not too sweet. The shop was filled with lots of customers but the tables were spread out enough that it didn’t feel overcrowded. They had bike racks out front, which I appreciated! The only thing for which I was left wanting: I really love some comfier or alternative seating options for shifting/sitting/studying/talk circles and this place was more standard booths/tables/hard wood surfaces. It seemed designed for people to flow in and out rather than hang for more prolonged amounts of time. I also love being surrounded by plants and this place felt more modern/minimalistic. Will definitely come back to try more of their food/drinks, though! Thanks!
