Crema's Take
“This hidden gem in Surfside Beach serves up genuinely authentic Mexican food that tastes like it was pulled straight from the streets of Mexico City, with handmade tortas and elote that keep customers coming back days later. Owner Erika pours love into every dish without any pretense, creating an unpretentious spot where the quality speaks louder than the décor, and the warm staff makes everyone feel like family. If you're hunting for the real deal—not Americanized versions—this is the kind of place that reminds you why authentic food memories stick with you.”

Amazing place, definitely must try if you love AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD! No extra fluff just the good stuff, such kind staff and such a cute eating area. A total hidden gem 💎
My girlfriend and I bought two tortas from here and it is hands down the best tortas we've had from any Mexican restaurant. You could definitely tell they were made with love.
Stopped by here while shopping on a whim and had to come back two days later for more! Delicious street corn and tacos! We will definitely be coming back frequently! I wish I had pictures to post but the food was so yummy we ate it before we had the chance to snap a pic. Super friendly staff too!
I am not sure that 5 stars is enough. We have been there a couple of times now and have NOT been disappointed. Amazing authentic tacos. I felt like I was eating street food in Mexico City. The ELOTE is huge, fresh corn, seasoned & cooked perfectly! I am a local and these are the BEST tacos I have ever had here. It's hard to choose between soft or hard shell because they are both so delicious. Fresh produce and fruit. The fruit slush was OUTSTANDING. This is a place that I would like to eventually try everything on their menu because I know it is going to be delicious, fresh and a great value every time. The owner Erika and her family/staff are amazing, warm, welcoming people. The RATINGS are NOT wrong. Go. Don't walk, run.
This is AUTHENTIC Mexican food and was the most delightful surprise. Erika is the mother and owner who clearly takes pride in preparing each dish with love. Having traveled all over Mexico, we can attest this is the best Mexican food we’ve eaten stateside. Do yourself a favor and order the carnitas tacos, the aqua Fresca with mango or strawberries AND definitely try the chicken or pork tamales. This is one of the finest small businesses in the entire beach area. Our recommendation is to read the menu, order ahead and eat by the beach. The location is in the main flea market building and is perfect for takeout, although they do have a nice seating area adjacent. You won’t regret it! This is the best kept secret! We are from the Charlotte area and will visit Erika and her family on our next trip!
