J Vein Caffé

This is the best coffee experience you can possibly have in Portland. I've been coming here for years and I can't believe I've never left a review. J is probably the most passionate person I've ever met in regards to coffee. He cares more about the quality of his service and product than I could possibly emphasize in a review. If there was Michelin stars for coffee carts, I'd give him 4/3 stars, the quality and attention to detail is just that good. Not only does he care about the service, but he also seems to genuinely remember and care for his regulars and even irregulars.

J Vein is the best coffee in the area and it's not even close. This is consistently my favorite shot of espresso in town right now and the owner is super friendly. Highly recommended if you want a good shot of espresso or a coffee drink. J Vein has a loyal following for a reason.

Our family is traveling around the United States, and one of our favorite things to do is visit local coffee shops along the way. We’ve enjoyed many great cups of coffee, but hands down, this was the best we’ve had! The owner was kind and friendly, carefully crafting each cup right in front of us. You can tell he truly takes pride in his work—the finished product was incredible. We only wish we had found this place earlier in our stay. Definitely worth a visit!

A truly delicious cup of coffee. You may think you’re drinking good coffee but wait until you try J Vein. You can expect service with a smile, a mood boosting chat, and a true craftsman who cares about his end product. I usually drink a decaf mocha(to hide the bitterness of most decafs), but I wanted to really taste his espresso so I went with the cortado. It was so smooth, so rich and so flavorful. The kind of coffee drink that makes you realize you’ve been drinking subpar coffee prepared by people who do not understand the craft. There will be a line on the weekends, fyi.

I think I've found my NEW favorite outdoor Café!!! I had latte here that was so incredibly smooth! Such a great, bold taste with every sip! 👌 I should have bought some of their coffee beans before heading back to Canada!! I will be coming back here each time I visit Cosmic Monkey to buy comics! JJ was a totally chill dude and made a great latte for me! Thank you for the excellent service!!! 😄
