Crema's Take

Tucked inside the Cornell campus store, Café Jennie wins hearts with genuinely caring staff who remember regulars and treat each order like it matters. Their house-made pastries—particularly the coconut and pistachio macaroons—pair beautifully with standout chai lattes and specialty drinks, while their surprisingly ambitious lunch menu (think tofu banh mi and chicken milano) proves this isn't just a grab-and-go spot.

A surprisingly sweet café tucked inside the Cornell campus store. The coconut and pistachio macaroons were delightful — chewy, sweet, and full of flavor. Chocolate croissant wasn’t the fluffiest but still tasty, and the shortbread cookies were simple and satisfying. It’s a lovely, cozy corner to snack and study, surrounded by tributes to Cornell’s literary icons (Carl Sagan and Toni Morrison watching over you!). Plus, the prices are student-budget-friendly.

I’m a Cornell student who also happens to work at the Cornell store so I order here often because it’s convenient. Their food is decent but the service is insanely slow, I’ve spent half my 15 minute break waiting on an order when its not even peak hours. Also one morning I had one of the adult staff (a blonde lady) scream at me and some other students for waiting for our food at the pick up area even though our buzzers were buzzing. I regularly order matcha lattes from them because they’re the closest cafe to me but they’re so much worse than the one you can get at Libe Cafe @ Olin Library or Goldies. The latte is diluted with milk even when you order regular ice, etc and it isnt worth your money/BRBS. I hope Cornell dining fixes the awful service at this cafe soon since so many parents/visitors come here after shopping at the cornell store.

The most friendliest staff on campus for Cornell dining. Real conversations and care for each order. I love my chai lattes from here and grabbing a quick snack in between meetings. If you are a regular staff will remember your order and go out of their way to make sure your order comes out in a timely manner.

Excellent food! I'm back in town for my 35th reunion. We stopped here for a quick bite. Nice menu. Great food. I had the chicken milano and my wife had the beef brisket. Nice selection of sides as well. Only limited seating available.

Went here for a quick lunch while visiting the Cornell campus and I was really quite pleased. I got the tofu bahn mi and it was delightful! Just a well constructed and good-tasting sandwich. Comes with a salad, which is tricky to eat on the go. The actual dining area is small so it's usually VERY crowded, your best bet is to grab something and go like I did, even if that means it will be a tad colder. Pretty quick service and conveniently located right in the Cornell store.
