Crema's Take

Schmooze is a charming Scottsdale spot where the real star is the sprawling patio experience—think tree-covered patios with birdsong, water features, and a wonderfully chaotic energy of diners and dogs mingling together. While the traditional coffee drinks are solid, the kitchen shines brightest with creative breakfast fare like their standout arugula caprese avocado toast, making it equally worth visiting for a leisurely brunch as for your morning coffee.

This place has a very cool patio atmosphere, you’ve got people eating, dogs, keeping an eye out for fallen food, and birds, picking up with the dogs didn’t notice. So when you show up, you pick a table, sit down, scan the QR code at your table and place your order. You pay at the table and hang out. Shortly they’ll bring your food. One thing I noticed was, as I walked by the bar, I saw a beer that I wanted, went back to the table could not find it on the menu. A little strange so I didn’t have a beer. They have vines and flowers everywhere in a big old water fountain in the middle. We would definitely go back there.

We got the Arugula Caprese Avocado Toast and it was the best we’ve had! The pesto and arugula on top was sooo tasty. We couldn’t get enough. The gluten free bread was very good! The waitress was super nice and welcoming. Loved the beautiful patio 😍

The location has 2 large patios, a dining room. And a bar area. The place has nice character. One places the food order and pays, and, once ready, the food is brought to the table. Washrooms are clean and there is some unique artwork that adds to the character.

Great location, ambience - lots of tree cover, tile work by the water channel and chirpy birds . I got the Mediterranean omelet which was kinda dry and I wasn’t really wow’d by the food . The crispy potatoes were good. You’d order at the counter or using the bar code. Minimal waiter service offered
