Crema's Take
“Sweet Jill's is a beloved Long Beach institution where the pastries steal the show—particularly their legendary cinnamon rolls, which locals rave about whether enjoyed fresh or the next day, and their decadent Dubai cheesecake that lives up to the hype. The compact, family-friendly bakery pairs quality baked goods with approachable coffee in a warm, welcoming space that's earned its decades-long place in the community, making it perfect for a genuine grab-and-go moment or lingering with a sweet treat.”

I heard to try the cinnamon rolls and I’m so glad I listened. Of course it’s the best fresh, but it was still delicious the next day too. The carrot cake was good, nothing special. Would definitely recommend the cinnamon rolls!
This is a great little bakery with plenty of baked goods to choose from. Judging by the steady stream of customers, everything must be good. That said, the only reason we come here is for the cinnamon roll (no nuts) with icing. It hits all the spots , warm, sweet, soft, buttery, sticky, and absolutely delicious. I can personally only eat half, so my wife and I always split one. It’s a small place with just a few tables inside. Sometimes there’s a line, but it moves pretty quickly. One thing to note: they only accept cash, and the icing for the cinnamon rolls costs an extra 50 cents.
We had to give this Long Beach landmark a play since we were in town and it did not disappoint. We thoroughly enjoyed all the baked goods We purchased. The staff was pleasant, friendly, and professional. There is a small seating area if you choose to dine in, however, we did take out.
Sweet tooth dreams come true! Tried the Dubai cheesecake and it was incredibly creamy and flavorful. Their cinnamon rolls are enormous and truly a must-try—ask for them warm and with nuts for an unforgettable treat. The mini cookies are delightfully crisp with just the right touch of sweetness. The peanut butter brownie is heavenly, especially after a quick 15-second zap in the microwave. Note: cash only, but totally worth it!
My to go for coffee cake and snickerdoodle cookie. This place has been in SB community for ages and been here for decades. It’s small shop with plenty of sweet goods and coffees. There is not much of seating inside but there are benches outside. The smell of baked goods upon walking in just want to get all of the goodies. Service is very friendly and helpful. Not much of decor since all here fill with baked goods. Definitely come back for more soon.
