Caffe Capri

Crema's Take

Caffe Capri is a casual neighborhood spot in Meridian where families and friends gather for no-fuss breakfasts and coffee, earning consistent praise for quick service and affordable pricing. While their signature biscuits and gravy have loyal fans, the kitchen can be inconsistent, so you might want to stick with simpler orders and come for the genuinely warm hospitality rather than expecting perfectly executed eggs Benedict. It's the kind of place where you'll recognize regulars and feel like a regular yourself after just one visit.

My husband and I both had the day off so why not start our fantastic day with some breakfast. We normally head downtown or somewhere by our house for brunch but we decided to step outside of the box and try somewhere new. We have been to the Capri downtown. We all enjoyed it there. The food, the vibe and the service was all on point. So, heading to the Capri in Meridian sounded like a great plan. Our experience was great at the downtown location that we were sure our experience in Meridian will be great too. It was right before lunch hour when we showed up and it was pretty chill. We sat ourselves at a booth. A very cute, colorful gal greeted us with menus. Shortly after, our server came and we got our drinks ordered with her. I had asked our server if I can get a fresh basket of coffee creamers. Without hesitation, she said no problem! She also offered to put my coffee into a to go cup. I can't express my appreciation for her and her kindness. Not everyone is this compassionate. My husband got pancakes, eggs and bacon. I got a cheese and spinach omelet with a side of sausage. As much as I wanted the hashbrowns that came with it, I'm trying to be good with my carb intake. I'm almost positive the hashbrowns were going to be money. My husband's pancakes were huge and fluffy! He smothered them in butter and syrup of course. I couldn't resist and had a couple bites. The bacon was perfectly cooked! Not too hard and not too floppy. My omelet was tasty. The cheese was nice and melty. The spinach was fresh and bright. I do wish there was a bit more spinach. Next time I'll ask for more spinach and less cheese, that will be the perfect omelet. The sausage links were overcooked just how I like them. I dipped the sausage in pancake syrup and it was so good! I polished almost everything off. It was quite the meal! Service is as important as the food when you're eating out. And honestly, good service is hard to find. The two gals that were working today were fantastic and fabulous. I appreciate their kindness. Our server was attentive and considerate. Her assistant/busser/hostess was sweet and magical. We were checked up on. They made sure my coffee was always filled. Service was great. I'm happy we got to start our day with a good meal and great service. If this place was only closer to us, we would hit this joint up more often. I look forward to coming back and enjoying another huge omelet. And of course I got have some of them pancakes too.

I’ve had better pancakes at McDonalds. The size in the picture looks bigger than it was. I honestly was shocked. Bathroom was not kept up. Such a shame this place has gone down hill.

Food was not good. Biscuit was microwaved, they asked me if I wanted it microwaved or grilled. The gravy was very plain more flour less sausage. Hashbrowns were hard and chewy on the outside mashed in the inside, seemed like they pre make them and then keep them in a warmer. Eggs were very oily. I almost feel so bad leaving this review because the waiter was nice and kept my husband's drink filled but we won't be back.

Very polite staff. The host and our server were super nice. Food came out super fast and was absolutely delicious!! I had their signature biscuits and gravy, just as good as the last time I had it probably about 10 years ago in Boise. Will absolutely be back here!! ** I thought the metal flower decor outside was very cute!**
