Crema's Take

This intimate San Francisco gem is helmed by Patricia, a bilingual owner whose genuine warmth and attentiveness create a genuinely welcoming atmosphere that keeps regulars coming back. Beyond solid espresso drinks, El Café distinguishes itself with creative house-made offerings like mushroom lattes and sun-dried tomato cream cheese bagels, making it equally ideal for a quick coffee run or a lingering afternoon with your laptop.

El Cafe is a quaint little spot to grab a coffee. Parking can be tricky, but that’s par for the course in the SF area. The coffee and food items are quite solid. Definitely worth stopping in if you’re in the area!

Hands down, my favourite cafe & local lunch spot. Patricia, the owner, is bilingual (Spanish/English) and greets each customer with a smile and a quiet attentiveness. So much so; this cafe has become s u c h a *favourite* for friends and family members that when visiting SF, they all always ask to go back to “THE Cafe”, instead of trying somewhere new. I live locally and will always find a reason to enjoy a fresh OJ, mango juice, blueberry streusel muffin, or an “el sunset” bagel; all of which are well under $10 and therefore a STEAL in SF- tip them well!

We were on our way to a state park and grabbed some bagels and coffee to-go before our drive. Staff were attentive and kind, prices were excellent, and the menu selection was great for everyone to get something good. Favorite was the egg and cheese with ham!

Neat little cafe near McCopin park- has a good lox bagel, and the mushroom lattée is quite interesting!

Love the food, coffee, and music was delightful and cheerful, awesome place to take a break and rest! I had a house made sun-dried tomato cream cheese bagel with a large coffee while taking a break from work- it was great! Came back here in April 2025, sunny afternoon, had a quick lunch with a Yummy Salami sandwich and a cup of coffee- delicious and recommend!
