Counterspace

Counter Space is seriously something special. The cookies are unreal — the kind you think about later and wish you’d bought more of. And the cakes are just as good as they look, which is delicious. They nailed king cakes this season! Everything tastes fresh, rich, and clearly made by someone who knows exactly what they’re doing. Also, the owner is an absolute gem. You can feel how much care and pride goes into the place, and it makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommend. Easily one of my favorite spots in BR! This is our favorite bakery! They have the highest quality cookie cakes and sprinkle vanilla cakes, with a wonderful staff to assist! The vanilla bean used in their frosting is a game changer and gives it all the flavor without being an overwhelmingly sweet icing. I recommend “every bite” style. The cookie cakes are “seasoned” to perfection, and ordering online is easy. My daughter requested a cookie cake for her 5th birthday and Counter Space delivered to satisfy everyone’s taste buds. There were lots of positive comments after and requests to take a piece for later! The one pictured is a just because order. This was gone in less than 24 hours with no crumbs left behind!

Love Counterspace and everything about this gem that Sarah Joy has created! Her salted chocolate chip cookies are my absolute favorite, but everything here is made completely from scratch and is amazing! Her chicken salad croissant is my go-to favorite for a quick lunch. I live in Lafayette but make this a regular stop when I’m in BR… that’s how good it is. Worth every mile of the drive. Highly recommend!

We really love CounterSpace. Their cookie cakes are our favorite! We love the gluten-free option as well, as some of our family and friends are gluten-free. It’s delicious! They offer birthday parties which are so fun! Every child got to decorate cookies, and the staff were helpful and attentive. Their king cakes this year were wonderful. The cookie-stuffed king cake is a must-try. We also had a mini for my youngest’s second birthday - she loved having her own little personal king cake.

I’ve always loved Counterspace cookies and honestly think they’re the best in the city. Just had my first cookie cake from counterspace for my 2 year olds birthday and it was (unsurprisingly) amazing and a hit at the party. Helpful and caring staff. Delicious food. Amazing local business!
