Nice place with a huge local following to grab a coffee and a bite to eat. Decent syrup flavor menu. Lattes have really good strength. My pistachio latte was lacking pistachio flavor. Could've used an extra pump or two, same for my wife's peppermint mocha. Plenty of parking. The other side has nice gifts like candles and Christmas ornaments for purchase. There were also local art pieces for sale.
I had never been here before. I was so happy that I found it while out for a drive. Great items for sale as unique gifts. Staff was very friendly. I chose the chicken salad sandwich - which was very fresh and delicious. I also had lavender lemonade and flourless chocolate cake - yummy. I sat for a bit, met some other visitors. They have a nice outside area with tables and peaceful atmosphere. Will go back for sure - I wish I had bought some things, but didn't expect to find this place. Need to revisit and shop.
Lovely general store. The cafe has that small home town feel and makes a great latte. The shop part of it is cute and has nice selection too. Really enjoy the atmosphere. Relaxing and inviting. The staff are also friendly and welcoming, happy to answer questions and go above and beyond.
We finally made it to Vischer Ferry General Store and it was worth the wait! The cafe and gift shop are so inviting and they even have a nice space for small events or private parties upstairs. We grabbed a sandwich from the grab-'n-go case since we arrived a bit too late for the kitchen service and it was so good! We will be back for a breakfast sandwich, for sure. The gift shop has many choices for anyone on your list -- or yourself! -- and a nice selection of specialty foods. When you go, be sure to check out the custom candles with scents and designs by owner, Louise. She carries some of my favorite scents from Paddywax Candles, too. Some places just feel right! Yes, the food was delicious. Yes, the decor was done well. Yes, the location is lovely. Yes, the staff was kind, inviting and attentive. There's a difference between customer service and hospitality. Vischer Ferry General Store has hospitality spot on! Thanks for a great experience.
