Crema's Take

This beachside gem in Cannon Beach shines brightest as a laid-back afternoon escape where affogatos and thoughtfully-sourced ice cream flavors like Huckleberry become the highlight of coastal getaways. The owner's genuine warmth—staying open late when other shops have closed, chatting with guests, and even accommodating a traveler's dog with fresh water—creates the kind of unhurried, hospitable vibe that keeps locals returning every visit. It's the perfect spot to linger over a specialty drink or cone while soaking in the beach town energy, without the rushed feeling of typical coffee stops.

I got an affogato here a few days ago that was so delicious - best part of my trip to the coast (and my hike was GORGEOUS). I wish I lived closer just so I could enjoy an affogato from here now often. The customer service was also great - the man serving me and my friends was be courteous and prompt as well as handled with care and pride.

We came in here during a lovely summer day in Cannon Beach. Ice cream sounded wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we had a nice conversation with the guy scooping our cones. The ice cream was very yummy. I felt the price was on par with other shops along the coast. Unfortunately, the shop suffers from the overall feeling that there is a greedy, inhospitable owner behind the scenes. No samples are allowed. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of an ice cream shop that doesn’t allow samples. What really grinds my gears more than that is the passive aggressive sign on the ice cream display telling customers that staff levels are low, be thankful anyone showed up for work today at all, so be sure to leave a tip. They then prompt you again to tip at checkout. The tip creep these days is absolutely exhausting. If you are having such a hard time attracting staff that the staff you DO have don’t want to get up and come to work, perhaps you should do some self-reflection on your own business practices and management style. Tips will not solve your staffing issues, but they will frustrate customers when they are feeling guilted and manipulated into paying your staff for you.

This place is great basically because it’s staying open past most other shops in the area. We walked in last minute & even though the owner had a long & possibly stressful day, he kept his cool. My kid really wanted ice cream, so it was a good stop for us. Although, he doesn’t offer ice cream samples. Which is odd to me, because a small lick off a mini spoon can’t cost him but less than half a penny. I understand kids run through & take advantage of samples; withholding samples, for specifically ice cream shops or shops that sell ice cream, is a terrible practice. Maybe limit the samples to (2) in the future.

We come here Everytime we come to Cannon beach. I love Huckleberry ice cream. But this time I asked if I could get an Xtra little Styrofoam dish for my dog to drink water. He has a special water and needed his heart meds, but I forgot his bowl. So she charged me a dollar+ and when I politely questioned she was rude not only to me but the staff. " What am I ringing up here?" She didn't event know. So to come up with an arbitrary number just to make some more money really ticks me off. I was willing to give her a nickel or a dime or a quarter or something like that but this was ridiculous. Toms fish and chips gives out free water when you dine there. And you get a cup with ice. A place like this is easily making $5,000 a day on $5 scoops of ice cream and all the other products in the store. I am a business owner, and service is the priority. If you're too tired and crabby, stay home or sell your business. But I guess with automatic clientele you don't really have to care about what anyone thinks. Your raking it in. To everyone that comes to this place, I suggest you go to Suzys. There is a reason they have more stars than this dive.

Super cute shop with souvenirs and beach themed items. But we stopped in for the ice cream! Delicious flavors, some classic, some unique, and a fun treat to enjoy while walking around the shops and Main Street!
